The government of Adamawa State has said that it will not pay March salaries to its workers, IgbereTV reports.

According to a statement released from the office of the governor of Adamawa State, the non-payment of March salary is as a result of the economic hardship caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The government promised to pay the salary when the effect of the pandemic subsides.

I wonder. They should do something to avoid hunger among the people.

This country is a joke. Is it not this period that a sensible government suppose to pay salaries in advances?
Tor. I prayed our own case won't be worse than Italy. By the time ordinary citizen in the street infected, the money will be no value

if this is true then it seems the governor doesn't really knows the implications. Hunger is worst than Covid-19, an hungry citizen is a respecter of no law.
A wise decision would have been to find means to pay so as to cushion d effect of virus

Most Nigerians are too dull yet they're first to insult their leaders.
What the press release is saying is that the government won't be able to pay the additional money that's supposed to come with the minimum wage implementation as agreed with organised labour. Not that they won't pay March salaries.
