For the past two years on Nairaland, I have noticed that threads concerning Igbos often extend up to 7-10 pages. Then I began to ask questions in my mind, why this?
These are my observations;

1) Most of the Igbos on Nairaland believe that the Igbos are victims of the Nigerian State and many even believe Igbos are being persecuted in this country. the

2) Because of the reason above, they write many posts that non-igbo Nigerians may find uncomfortable, irritating or even offensive. (This doesn't mean other Nigerians don't open inappropriate threads against the Igbos)

3) Then reactions (mostly negative) from other Nigerians follow, resulting in arguments for and against both sides which is often laced with tribal slurs.

4) As Nigerians, this should worry us deeply.
I as a person, I contribute in the debates in consonance with my conscience (uphold the truths, debunk the lies/propaganda and correct injurious misinformation).

5) I don't hate any tribe because I believe it is unnecessary and a primitive way of thinking.
