nCOVID-19
Current movement restrictions in response to the spread of Covid-19 has resulted to an increase in the prices of various foodstuffs in several locations.
White garri (cassava flakes) that is the most staple foodstuff in Southern Nigeria has increased in price from #400 - #600 per custard/paint bucket at my locality. At some locations, the price was reported to have increased to as high as #1,500 per same custard/paint bucket.
Fresh plantain initially sold #600 for medium-sized bunch now sells for #1,000.
As the movement restriction continues, prices of the most basic necessity (food) may continue to increase.
Please what are the current prices of foodstuffs in your locality? Some of us may choose to buy foodstuffs from your locality if sold at cheaper rates. Let us be our brother's/sister's keeper at this trying time.
