/ My question: Do they have the requisite training and certification to operate a ventilator in Nigeria? There are too many technicals and parameters involved in operating one. It is close to donating Dialysis machine without trained professionals to operate them. This is what happens when healthcare has been neglected for a very long time. \ |

VillagePipu:Thank you. Sanwo Olu has been nothing short of exemplary leading people to call him President of Nigeria. Just glad he is in charge right now. He instills confidence in Lagosians to make us think we can beat this. Dont even know what that failed Governor in Ogun State is doing. |

candidtalk:Ogun State is trying. Tagging along with Lagos is not easy. The work ethic of Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun doesn't have it. Sanwo-Olu is the only Governor I know that works like an employee. I pity those that work around him, they don't rest. |

saajus: HAHAHA, YOU THINK SEY VENTILATOR NAH TABLE FAN BAH? BY THE WAY, HOW MANY NIGERIAN DOCTORS DO YOU THINK ARE CONVERSANT WITH VENTILATORS? MAJORITY OF THEM THAT WERE EVEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO SEE THEM DURING THEIR TRAINING DAYS NEVER GOT TO SEE THEM FUNCTION, LET ALONE USE THEM. NOW EVERYBODY JUST TALKS OF VENTILATOR SO CASUALLY AS THOUGH IT WERE SPHYGMOMANOMETER. THE MAJORITY OF THESE VENTILATORS BEING DONATED WILL REMAIN IN THEIR CARTOON FOR SOME YEARS TO COME, WHILE OTHERS WILL CORRUPTLY FIND THEIR WAY INTO PRIVATE HOSPITALS. |

When it is time to steal, you people steal in billions. See what you are donating. We needs loads of testing kits around Nigeria. No testing labs in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa and Delta States. We need testing, isolation and treatment for infected ones. We need medicines and protective gears for medical staff. We need masks and sanitizers for the populace in large amounts. Social distancing means nothing without testing and isolating infected ones. |

Pes13:no adequate equipment because they are looting the country Commonwealth not knowing that the evil days are ahead that they will not be able to travel abroad for treatment. No adequate staff did you know the number of graduate that are leaving this country every blessed day due to unemployment whereas there are many agencies that are short of staff. My prayers to God is that He should help us to stop this virus. |

You are right but desperate times call for desperate measures. 100k Ventilators @ $20k each is just $2Billion. Who told us Innoson can't partner with some Chinese and Nigerian companies to get the job done. Coronavirus will still be around for a while. So, we better start putting some things in order. If 10 Ex Governors in Nigeria are drilled, they will cough out $2Billion. About fixing and using ventilators. if it takes a Doctor more than 2 weeks to learn or refresh his knowledge on how to setup/use/read ventilators, they need to send that Doctor back to school. The only problem is that there are some special cases where they need to open a hole in a patient neck to pass the tube. Opening that hole is a minor surgery. TruthSpeaker: |

it amazes me the kind of sudden unity people and organizations are showing to ensure that the impending explosion of this corona pandemic in nigeria is nibbed in the bud. how i wish we as a nation are ordinarily like this, our country wud have been a truly great country. alas it all corona induced. when everything dies down we go back to business as usual. |

Starboytwo:Do we need to remind what China's population is again? They have light, they have good water supply, they are the highest users of internet, they are using their population to their advantage, they have good roads, they have industries and therefore employ massive numbers of people and therefore grew their export so much that they export to every single country in the world, they're a market force Do you know Nigeria is one of the most blessed country with too much natural exportable resources, do you know our population if put to good use, we would all be living like it's Paradise for us here Please think logically, our government has depleted our oil, failed on all grounds Do you even know Nigeria's problem, it has nothing to do with our population, infact the population is an added advantage of we were to utilize the lands God gave us along with the natural resources |

Proudlyngwa:Population (man power) vast expanse of Lands for farming Iron ore Tin Coal Infact a source would do better justice https://nigerianinfopedia.com.ng/natural-resources-in-the-36-states-of-nigeria-locations/ If our man power and land alone sef without mentioning our natural resources means nothing to you in terms of commercial value then I might have to deduce you're probably still eating off your parents or just don't understand what it takes to utilize our God given resources What made china, India or USA great nations, I guess God put billions in all their accounts right The government failed to explore those resources for the use of the entire populace
