When Trump said he was going to quarantine New York yesterday, did Cuomo call it illegal?
You might want to confirm your claim before posting online as a fact.

Is it constitutionally right? No

Is it the right thing to do? Yes.

The fact that the decision is meant to save lives doesn't mean it is constitutionally right. Buhari is right and the lawyer is equally right. It depends on how you see it. At the end of the day, no one is greater than the constitution and, of course, we cannot throw away our constitution because some sets of zomb.ies believe a lifeless "saviour" is divine and mistake-free.

After corona, every damn thing will be accounted for (constitutionally), from donations made by public entities to the management of these monies, etc. We cannot leave our destinies to the indecisions and mal-decisions of a lifeless personality.

as a lawyer he should have known the importance of National security and Public health and the urgency of the matters at hand because they will still be the one to blame the fresident tomorrow if he fails to take drastic actions..

If Bubu had taken such drastic actions to restrict flights and block our borders while quarantining abroad returnees whether big or small ,,we would not be here in the first place..

But I will still side with the Honourable SAN because if the executive is allowed such powers without recourse to the Constitution and due process ,Buhari may wake up any day and shut down a whole state for flimsy reasons which will be a derogation from the doctrine of Separation of power.

All in all,,the President should take drastic measures to curb the pandemic but should follow the Rule of Law

Re: Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa: Buhari Lacks Power To Restrict Movement In Lagos, Abuja by Goke7: 7:07am On Mar 30, 2020
the elites brought the virus into the country and are still claiming constitutional right, its because of stubborn wits like ebun that sanwolu has been managing the situation on ground with partial lockdown measures, he Lagos Governor also sign into law some emergency diseases enforcement act last friday so he can even prosecute those who will defy the law.

Nigerians can never be satisfied with whatever govt does and folks like ebu just want to be heard for relevance sake

I had always said the judiciary is one of our major problems in the country; a mata of national urgency and you are saying the National Assembly should have a recourse; will this not constitute a group of people gathering? Which is an easy way to make this virus spread. Aside this sir other nations didn't call for a national consensus before declaring curfews. Am currenting living outside the country where we have been indoor for a month now.
the level of civilisation in Nigeria is low bro, the other day a church blame illiterates who came for service as an excuse to disobey govt guidelines

But who are these kind of idiots in our nation? So Buhari should first seek consent to restrict movement from Lagos to Abuja in order to prevent people getting infected all over the country. And you will see may fools on Nairaland supporting this idiot. Well, even their convener has said his business matters to him than FG saying everybody should stay at home. And if you don't agree with them, they shut you up.
If the lawyer is serious, he should sue barawo bubu to court.
Otherwise, he is just an attention seeker.

...The hatred you ve for the president has made you blind to see reasons. Do you know why Italy and America are finding it difficult to surmount the Virus? I bet you don't But can tell you that the bottleneck in getting all the legislature's to approve for a lockdown was the first factor.

Continue shouting illegal until coro catch you, that's when you will understand the importance of taking a decisive actions in an emergency situation like this.

Continue.

Why have many people come out now to say the lawyer is wrong?

When we were shouting ourselves hoarse for the president to take measures to close the border and lockdown during the first case of the Italian man, you lot were all sleeping in your crab holes.

It's ignorant people like you that impede the strengthening of democracy in Nigeria. We are not running a military dictatorship. These States have Governors. It's these Governors that should issue the lockdown order, not Buhari.

Buhari can shut down the nation's borders but not the State borders. It's the Governors that can shut their State borders. If this is not challenged, then there is no point having Governors.
