Anybody you hate will always be ahead of you. Hate Igbos and be their slave forever. Love them and be their master. That is the law of nature.Check your life.

You guys are not being fair here. Not everyone with an Igbo name can speak the language or even identify as Igbo.
Sunday Oliseh’s middle name is Ogochukwu but he never accepted that he was Igbo. I doubt if he could speak the language as well. There are many others.

My room mate in the uni came from Kwale. His name is Okechukwu with an Igbo last name. This guy could not speak Igbo or even his kwale language or dialect.
An Azubuike from Rivers state was a class mate. He rarely spoke Igbo. When he does, it was with family over the phone.

I have noticed that this is common amongst people from Delta state. This is not to exonerate those from old Anambra and Imo who do this but it’s more with those that speak some form of Igbo...(Delta and Rivers)

As an Igbo man myself, my worry is more with parents who give their children Hebrew and some other non Igbo names...eg Tallulah, Maya, Tamar, Shira, Miracle, Favour, Gift even Perseverance.

Igbo language and names will be for eternity. There are lots of conservative Igbos for every efulefu who is isn’t proud to either speak or identify with Igbo.

Spare those people with Igbo sounding names who have lost their roots and heritage.

Oburo onye obuna nwere afa/aha Igbo bu onye Igbo.

Presidential task force briefing on Covid-19
1. The first journalist asked his questions in English
2. the second journalist (Yoruba lady) asked her questions in Yoruba
3. The third journalist (Hausa guy) asked his questions in Hausa
4. The fourth journalist (Igbo lady) asked her questions in English (English she couldn't even speak correctly)
Short ugly Igbo lady ...
Others spoke in their local languages but this stupid semi-litrate lady did otherwise.
Shame on you.
She asked her questions in English as if she can speak better than the two others that spoke in Yoruba and Hausa.
Foolish lady

She should have been kicked out from there. What was she doing there? Hopeless Efulefu..
Short ugly thing.

I have noticed it on several occasions that some Nigerian ladies somehow feel shy to speak their native languages in public.

I was really disappointed at Mrs ijeoma but thank God for the other man that spoke in Igbo

This is really misleading.

She asked her question in english because she works with ARISE tv.

Those two that came before her spoke in yoruba and hausa because they work or report for NAN / VON hausa and yoruba (language) section.

The young, beautiful lady has a good sense of humour. that is why she said she is not going to speak in Igbo. Cos everyone was expecting the 3rd person to be an Igbo person.

STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE PLEASE.

Why the fuss then?
It so sad that somebody will make an issue out of this. The lady works with ARISE tv that broadcast in English. While those two that came before her spoke in yoruba and hausa languages because they work in the local language sections of VON abi NAN. Kai

It is a pity that the Imora do such a great thing.

Igbo is the oldest language in the country. Wherever Enugu is, he will speak his language.
But most people speak English as if they were curious. The general ignorance of many Igbo people is very sad

That is because the proposed Biafra Republic covers other states aside the eastern states
In his own fraudulent unattainable versions Biafra , it includes non-Igbo regions.
Even it is feasible Igbo is the still going to represent 80-90% of the proposed Biafra, yet who could not manage to do some programmes in Igbo?
If is so cosmopolitan why seek Biafra independence to start with?
Nnamdi Kanu is a huge fraud.

This is an indication that Nairaland promotes hate against the Igbos. There is no defence for promoting a thread tagged: "Stupid Igbo lady..." because a lady chose to speak English in a multiethnic nation. But the same Nairaland removes "Yoruba" from another thread: "Three Stupid Yoruba Thieves" purposely written to draw Mod's attention. Promoting hate against the Igbos for no just cause is common on Nairaland and it has to stop.
