A Nigga Once Said: That stuff usually comes out after a shave.

Used So-fine haircream on mine and it cleared. Don't know if it will also work for you, but you can try it though..

Sweet heart, that's not làpálàpá jaree. I had làpálàpá when I was growing up. 15yrs or so. When I visited a friend for holiday. I used his sponge and soap. I went bald for close to a year in that particular sport. Làpálàpá na bad thing..

mymadam:

shocked Rash name: Nuchal acne

Source of infection: Usually at the barber's shop (via contaminated clippers)

When will it completely disappear?: Probably never (whether you treat it or not, it will likely go and come back!)

Treatment:
1. Good, balanced diet always (Normal, isn't it?).
2. Henceforth settle for skin haircut style (complete shave) - Why? That part of the head breaks when hairs want to grow through the follicles.
3. The big one... Regularly apply a mixture of PYTHON FAT and ALOE VERA JUICE directly to the affected part (usually the back of the head... like yours).
4. Meanwhile, learn to live with it, after all you're just one of thousands with the condition.

Good morning good people of Nairaland. I hope you all are doing great and keeping safe during this period of corona virus endemic..

Pls I need help!! My younger brother has been battling with a certain rash on his head since 2013. We keep on treating and after sometimes the rashes disappear and appear later.

He has used all kinds of creams and was even on pills to treat the rashes yet the rashes refuse to go. Pls is there anybody that knows the name of the rashes and how it can be treated because my younger brother is gradually losing his self-esteem because he can hardly go out without putting on cap to cover the area that is affected by the rashes.

Suggestions, criticism and possible solutions to the problem are welcomed. Doctors in the house your input will be highly appreciated. Attached below is a picture showing the true state of the affected areas

Pls mods move this to FP for wider coverage

Don't tamper with it. Apply Dettol liquid 5 to 10 times a day it will go.

It looks like razor bumps. It's not all about sharing clippers though. Some people skins are really sensitive and will get them more easily than others with the application of a razor. They always appear when I shape my beards and the back of my head, even if I use a personal clipper. Though, it can be prevented by thoroughly applying aftershave or isopropyl alcohol after barbing.

If some still appear after that, I resolve it by applying Skineal to the area and it usually disappears after a week or two. If you don't use any aftershave to prevent it and also leave it untreated for a long time when it appears, it may become somewhat permanent. I've had a little one on the back of my head for like four years now. All efforts to remove it have been in vain. The only solution I heard of is to scrape it off (very painfully) with a blade and apply lime (even more painful) to the area. Someone I know got rid of his that way...

It's called pseudofolliculitis barbae. Usually a combination of dermatophyte (fungal growth) with staphylococcus aureus.
A simple triple action cream (anti fungal, antibacterial and antiseptic) eg FUN BACT - A will suffice.

Well worth a try, sir.
