Good morning good people of Nairaland. I hope you all are doing great and keeping safe during this period of corona virus endemic..

Pls I need help!! My younger brother has been battling with a certain rash on his head since 2013. We keep on treating and after sometimes the rashes disappear and appear later.

He has used all kinds of creams and was even on pills to treat the rashes yet the rashes refuse to go. Pls is there anybody that knows the name of the rashes and how it can be treated because my younger brother is gradually losing his self-esteem because he can hardly go out without putting on cap to cover the area that is affected by the rashes.

Suggestions, criticism and possible solutions to the problem are welcomed. Doctors in the house your input will be highly appreciated. Attached below is a picture showing the true state of the affected areas

Pls mods move this to FP for wider coverage

Pseudofollicular barbae.

Google and read up on it.

Don't apply any cream or ointment that contains lanolin on it.

This will work like magic:

1. Buy methylated spirits
2. Buy camphor and grind it into fine powder
3. Pour the camphor into the methylated spirit and shake well and leave for 2 -3 hours.
4. Use cotton wool to soak and apply the solution on the rashes. (Just enough to soak the small cotton wool)
5. Press the cotton wool on each rash for about 10-15 minutes at a time.
6. Do this for about a week or two, first thing in the morning and at bedtime
7. It will be a bit painful but the rashes will dry up and be gone in days.
8. Always wash your hands after each application

You need to carry sacrifice at night to appease the gods. The gods are angry with you and if you don't do the necessary sacrifice, it might destroy your whole head and even enter your brain.
You will carry the sacrifice in the evening. Don't wear anything except boxers and singlets. You will walk around your town or village and be confessing how many ladies you have slept with.

Thank you for your input I really appreciate
I have been battling with this also for years.I have tried so many drugs and creams,it is called hair bump and very stubborn.Firstly, let him get is own clipper for personal use.Whenever he wants to barb he should make sure he take his bath to avoid dirt and germ from feeding on the affected area.Secondly,He should always take his hands off the affected area that could result from scratching.Excessive touching will result to swelling and redness. He should avoid using toxic chemicals to treat as this may cause more damage than repair.Thirdly he should go for fungal and bacteria injection every six month to cushion the effect of the disease.Better still he can go for micro cell bacteria lab test like i did.I remembered the last test i went made them to place me on drug for complete six month. The early stage of my treatment i was injected at the back of my head several time to kill it completely.Fourtly,i will advice you start treating it now to avoid it from spreading as yours is not even the much complicated type.
This are some of the drugs i have used.Though some are cheap while some are dam expensive. So here are some of the drugs and supplement that i have used. Metisan, lamisil, kentoral or any strong fungal drug, phyto defence by gnld.Infact i don't want to list all the drug i have used to avoid putting fear in you.Though that lamisil is very effective but is rare to find in the market except may be in wholesale markets. As for creams, this are the ones i can remember.Honey plus cream,ori,7days cure, funbact A,mckoll cream, bump hair cure, dermovate, vecuten,Indian hem cream, aloevera cream, aquasulf, skin cure cream, betnovate n,etc. They are so many but he can try either of mckoll, vecuten or funbact a.Am saying this because am a living witness. He can also get a good shampoo for washing.

Very stubborn.

I actually have the scars of it on my head. Took me years to get it solved but eventually only Funbact A works on it. Just #320 per tube despite all the specialists treatment I underwent.

Please it's 100% treatable, it will reduce and stop the growth. Go and meet a reputable barber and show him. There are special hospitals that treats this. The cause is because you're using public clippers. You will be given drugs and injections. The injection will be given through the head.

Goodluck and get a new personal clipper for yourself. The treatment is a little bit expensive.

Dear op,
This is acne keloid if you are not careful and strict with treatment . It increases in sizes day by day.

Please avoid scraping or pressing it will only make it to become inflammed and increase size.

Do not use corticosteroids cream containing clobetasol .

Simply dab apple vinegar on it morning and night.

Or just simply apply shea butter frequently in a day .

Future precaution
Go get your own hair kit: clipper, hair brush , towel , comb etc

Scrape it and apply JIK bleach with the aid of cotton earbuds cleaner. It worked for me and it was my barber that gave me that clue.
It's gonna be painful though, but no pain no gain.

I treated someone having it with KEDI products & it disappeared within a month never to come back. It's now a year plus. It's called bumps & its mostly gotten from a barber's clipper that's not disinfected properly.

That is not a Keloid sir.

Here is a picture of a keloid, not all bumps are keloids.

Graphic content, this case pass even keloid I've seen.
Re: Stubborn Rashes On The Head: How Can I Treat This? (Disturbing Photo) by Jasy(m): 10:04pm On Apr 05, 2020
1. You have to get a personal clipper which you should always use while cutting your hair.

2. Do not let the barber to line/carve the back of your head for any reason, this is the most important. This only can make after shave bumps/rashes (that is what you are currently experiencing) to come out.

3. Please find this cream and apply it at the back of your head, I used it when I had a similar experience and it cleared. I don't know if you can find the exact one in the country you reside. I attached the picture. Goodluck man

mymadam:

shocked Rash name: Nuchal acne

Source of infection: Usually at the barber's shop (via contaminated clippers)

When will it completely disappear?: Probably never (whether you treat it or not, it will likely go and come back!)

Treatment:
1. Good, balanced diet always (Normal, isn't it?).
2. Henceforth settle for skin haircut style (complete shave) - Why? That part of the head breaks when hairs want to grow through the follicles.
3. The big one... Regularly apply a mixture of PYTHON FAT and ALOE VERA JUICE directly to the affected part (usually the back of the head... like yours).
4. Meanwhile, learn to live with it, after all you're just one of thousands with the condition.

GET YOUR CONFIDENCE BACK NOW or...

smiley Good luck.

Hmmm python fat why python fat biko grin

Kindly wash the affected part with a medicated soap, apply fungi coated sanitizer, and use NIXODERM CREAM ....It will surely clear off and never return.
