You think mtn will roll out a technology without beta , alpha and rc testing it first?

Do you think any technology rolled out by mtn has not been tested?

Anyone who has issues with 3g, 4g 5gbcan throw away their phones. Funny that the same 5g noisemakers suddenly worried about their health are the same ones carrying cheap chinko phones that will never be allowed in western nations. Go figure

Nigerians who will ride Danfo with no brakes, who will defend trailer drivers with road worthless vehicles are suddenly concerned about nebulous fables

Did the FG tell you they won't license 5G?

Better calm down or risk getting a high BP.

I will like you to take a look at this clip with an open mind on research and not religion so that you can/may if possible understand the essence of the clamour. From my view point the pandemic caused by the covid 19 will aid the use of 5g network to achieve an aim bigger than our eyes can see at the moment (in terms of digital vaccine). That's the relationship between 5g network and (if properly put the pandemic) covid 19. But most uninformed people interpreted it as if the 5g causes covid 19.

The government has its weaknesses no doubt but we should be more pragmatic in our vindictiveness/criticism
So that is how you pass judgement; jaundiced judgement.
FG said they had not given any licence for 5g, but failed to mention that Mtn had conducted 5g test, and that can't be done without NCC. If this Mtn proclamation was not dug up, lied Mohammed would have maintained that 5g never stepped into Nigeria.

Sister, with respect, this quote is from.a conspiracy site. Try to look for a publication without an agenda.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/technology/2020/mar/12/5g-safe-radiation-watchdog-health

Look the only conspiracy going on now is where the United states which is hopelessly behind in 5G technology seeks to hold back China. First it said that Huawei 5G was a security risk, now it says that it facilitates covid 19. Its objective is to slow down Huawei in the developed work having failed to convince European nations like the UK and Germany.

I realise the power of conspiracy theories. They are almost a religion. But 5G will be rolled out and nobody will die. China will become the worlds most influential economy. Empires rise and fall. The American century is ending.

That isn't research that's a pastor giving his opinion about something he knows nothing about. Ask him to define 5G and he'll have no clue.

The aim of digital vaccine was to find a way to have people registered through the vaccination process, similar to having a national ID or BVN but on a more larger scale. No one will inject nanobytes into your system, instead you'll rather be given an ID when you show up for your vaccination. Now, tell me what is wrong with that?

If you watch your pastors video, you'll notice he didn't mention the bolded part of the text below.

This post was updated at 4:58pm on March 26, 2020 to clarify that the program is intended to allow people to receive vaccination and prove they have received it, not to track individuals, as claimed by some conspiracy theorists.

Who do you think I am?
A zombie?

A conman who can't even define 5G specifications is blaming his failures on 5G and you believed him.

Do you open your mind when you see a lunatic rambling on the street?
Yes. That is exactly how Chris sounds to people with knowledge of the subject matter.

There is a difference between testing and licensing. The MTN tests were public knowledge - it was on TV and in the newspapers. No one is hiding anything. Covid19 has brought out peoples inner fears. 5G is not a threat to health.

Is testing the same thing as licensing?

Who is the illiterate now?

Yes and no. You have to have Government approval to broadcast on any band. You can't transmit 5G signals - even for test - without a government's prior approval. It's also highly unlikely that MTN would choose a band of frequencies not assigned to them by a government authority: not only do you choose the frequency range, you instruct your towers to tune in to certain bands.

This is the time to believe in science instead of pastors. Scientists are working to find a cure-vaccine while pastors are selling you fear and emotions in order to keep taking your tithe.. btw, those pastors are using 5G’s younger bro, 4G to collect your tithes and sell u books and audio.

I really want to thank you for this clarification. The Minister made this clear yesterday on channels tv that 5G network was tested last year November using 4G template. He emphasized that no organisation has been given approval for the deployment of this technology. Please we should try to confirm the veracity of any claim before we jump into conclusion especially when it is made on the internet. Note that every Tom, Dick and Harry has access to the internet and freedom to post anything.

Ask them o, is test not different from licensing? If licensed, won't it make headlines?

People ehn, they just find fault anywhere. Plus what's bad with 5g, should we go with dumb ass myth here and there?
Jus4c:

Hello @Macphenson, it is very commendable to appreciate your concern with respect to the 5G Technology and its perceived relation to the spread of the novel Coronavirus. Truth is there is this unease with some Nigerians as to whether the 5 G technology is already in operation in Nigeria or not. Now, I think it's good to set the record straight: first, the statement of the Minister of Communication, Isa Patanmi,in relation to this is accurate and there is no discrepancy with the MTN's memo you posted. He actually mentioned it on Channel's TV while being interviewed that only a trial of this 5G technology took place last year, and that he was the one that conducted the trial. He further stated that licences were not yet given, as the Federal Government is still assessing everything about the new technology. You may check this video link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLQbXPSunQ0

Second, it's very important to be knowledgeable in the field of Physics and Biology or at least do ones personal research from recognized Journals before one can have a good understanding of this linkage of 5G Technology with the spread of the Coronavirus. I can tell you that Electromagnetic Waves Radiations or Frequencies have nothing to do with the spread of this virus. At least, for now, there is no reputable scientific Journal that has this information. I think some of us need to do a bit of our research on areas outside our expertise before circulating unverified information as this, which could cause panic on others, especially the illiterates who usually depend on hearsay to build their opinions. If my stance on this 5G Technology vis-a-vis its connection to this pandemic is proven wrong by a superior scientific evidence, I will gladly take back my statements.

Those individuals that are hurling insults on the Minister, talking about his choice of religion, dress code, and preferred style of appearance, should understand that it is only prudent to respect his choice of personal lifestyle, which has nothing to do with his competence. The man is surely deserving of this position judging by his profile. I'm not his PA neither have I met him in person but I think we, Nigerian youth, would do a great good for ourselves if we improve on our fact finding skills before commenting on any issues of national discourse, or any information available on the social media at all. It is well with us all.
