Shearer is there only because of his record goals....

Giggs should be there because of his record assists, appearance, title, scoring in 20 straight season, expliot on the wing....

As for Roy keane....maybe you want me to move lampard....because i can't bench Scholes for anybody.
Shearers goal record puts him far and above anyone else. You would need to score 26 league goals 10 years in a row to match him. You have a recency bias because Shearer in the 1990s is untouchable, which is probably the same reason you left out Keane.

Scholes must chop bench. You can't drop Keane or Lampard.

I believe he is the first and only player to win WPOTY while playing in EPL. That deserves a spot.
Winning WPOTY is inconsequential. Using league exploits Ronaldo did not perform anything to be included in an epl all time 11.

What spectacular things did Scholes do as a central midfielder in 19yrs, to deserve it?

If Ronaldo didn't do anything, Scholes should not near the bench of epl all time 11.

Just telling you that if Ronaldo doesn't deserve it, 60% of those you may pick, may not deserve it.

Who are in your epl best 11 ever?

I asked of your epl team first bro. You answered with a question. Let's see if all your players did better than Ronaldo when they played in epl.

The discussion is not about my epl team. If you can't make an argument for Ronaldo using his exploits in the league on why he should get a spot then forget about it.

People need to put some respek on Shearer's name when it comes to EPL. If Shearer had come to Man Utd like Fergie wanted and had been receiving passes and crosses from Giggs and Becks in the 90s the record would have been 300 goals.

It is difficult to pick an all time 11 for the EPL. Everybody will have different opinions and even if you ask the same person twice on different days he is likely to change his mind.

The formation also matters. Is it 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3.

RB: Neville, Ivanovic
LB: Cashley, Evra
CB: Adams, Ferdinand, Stam, Terry, Carvalho, Vidic
MD: Keane, Scholes, Vieira, Lampard, Gerrard, Makalele
FW: Shearer, Giggs, Henry, Rooney, Ronaldo, Aguero

Schmeichel, Keane, Shearer are definite inclusions for me though. At this moment, lol.

Ronaldo didn't quite do so much in the EPL to be considered in any all time 11. In between the sticks, I'll take Schmeichel, at RB, G. Neville, RCB - Cavarlho, LCB - Vidic, LB - Cole...
I'll have a 3 man midfield with Scholes and Keane at the base and Lampard at the top of the triangle...
In attack, I will have Giggs providing the width with Shearer as the CF partnered Henry playing slightly out right...

For someone who won WPOTY as the first and last person from EPL, what else is to "do well"? I blame Ferguson for playing him out of position during his early days.

What do you mean by out of position? Ronaldo was always a winger. In fact, it was at Manchester United that he was coached to develop the other aspects of his game away from dribbling. Ronaldo won the WPOTY award that season because Manchester United won the UCL and eliminated Barcelona in the semis. If we had won just the EPL and Barcelona, the UCL, Messi would have won it. I trust you already know that in that time, the UCL was a big determinant except of course in a world cup year.

Ronaldo played as a winger in a 4-4-2 formation, how is that different from playing as a midfielder? I'm sure he had nothing to do with Man united winning UCL? For someone that came close to winning WPOTY in 2007 and with at least 4 years of consistency. The Gary Neville that is on the list, how many good years did he had?

I tire o! It just shows a lot of folks are mentioning Ronaldo for his exploits now rather than referencing his time in England. He was a very good player during his time in the EPL, he had on great season and about 2 very good ones other than that, he just had good seasons...

You don't understand my point, do you? Whatever he did to help us win the UCL is inconsequential when talking about his EPL exploits. Having a good run in the UCL is enough to earn you the Balon D'or in most cases. Gary Neville was consistent for a long period of time and it counts when you are talking about all time 11s of a league. Ronaldo's peak years was in Madrid, for an all time La Liga 11, he'll definitely be there but not the EPL where I will even place Rooney and Aguero ahead of him.

I'm sure if I asked for an all time Serie A 11, most folks will have Ronaldo in there when he shouldn't be anywhere close to that list.

Maybe in your EPL 11, but ESPN (who I think started it first) and others who have him there aren't dumb to put him there. Are you bringing Rooney and Aguero to play the LW because they do not merit their primary role or just to dislodge Ronaldo?

I know you to be the Midget fan boy, so no big deal.
