Ecological Fund: Leave Boss Mustapha Alone - APC Warns Blackmailers

Our attention has been drawn to the fake news making round on the social media alleging that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha is involved in Ecological Fund Scandal.

No doubt, the aim of the false report is to distract the SGF who is also the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce against the spread of Coronavirus pandemic from concentrating his energy and time in the execution of the ongoing fight against COVID-19.

In a statement released to newsmen on Easter Sunday in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of APC Mandate Defenders, Mr. Ifeanyi Emeka, the group said the sudden rise in social media attacks and blackmails against Boss Mustapha is as a result of the towering goodwill and commendations his professional handling of the battle against the spread of the pandemic has brought to him.

It will be recalled that similar attempt was made recently to link him with the mismanagement of some Federal Constituency Projects across the country before it was discovered that his office do not handle or manage the project.

For the sake of clarity, we wish to state categorically that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is not a contract awarding institution but an office saddled with the responsibility of monitoring and coordinating the implementation of Federal Government Policies and Programmes.

We therefore call on the reading public to ignore the fake news story against the SGF as that is the handiwork of mischief makers.
