If The Pandemic Ends Today, What Next? by Nasa28(op): 5:27pm On Apr 13, 2020
Nasa was a naive young man, who could engage in an online chat, social media and never gets tired. Could play video games (soccer especially) all night without longing for sleep. Follows every new movie on Netflix as if his life depends on it. When Nasa has no money for Netflix subscription, his friends will give him access for him to continue having fun. Good friends Indeed.

YouTube was one of his favourite sites. what's he doing? surfing for funny things and downloading videos of course.

A time came when a friend of his introduced him to some online learning platforms. Nasa struggled with it, enrolled in some free courses but in most cases , couldn't finish any.

Sadly, this is the story of most Nigerian youths. Most can pay for Netflix subscription, but can't buy Courses online, Most can watch unlimited movies with their phones online ,but can't study or learn new things with it online. How about the Data subscription, is it just for Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube?

As Covid-19 pandemic keeps ravaging the world, the question is not whether it will pass, Nope, it will surely pass, The big question is, what are you doing? How well are you positioning yourself for the aftermath of this pandemic?
If you think the world will remain the same after this, then YOU KNOW NOTHING.

Let me break the ice for you.

1. Remote/Virtual work will become more popular.

2. Many companies and organisations will prioritize technology.

3. Demand for new skills (computer based skills) will be high.

4. The pandemic will indeed alter many cultures.

5. For those hoping to work in a bank, as governments at all levels and banks will pay more attention to Cashless economy and this will definitely affect many Jobs.

Just to mention but a few.

People are thinking differently now, so you must align yourself or be left behind.

If all you do with that your costly laptop is just to play video Games and watch Movies , my dear, its time to wake up from your slumber. Even if you don't have a computer yet, do the little you can with your phone, at least, you get used to it.

Knowledge is power they say. How then can you get knowledge if not by learning, daily?

Don't be That old Nasa that could afford monthly Netflix subscription, but couldnt afford buying a good COURSE online.

Truth be told, after this pandemic is over, people will lose their job(which by the way, won't be their end , depending on how they react to it), and others will spring forth. Will you be among those that will spring forth and come to the limelight? It's left for you.

This write up is not designed to instill fear in us by any stretch of the imagination, rather, to awaken us even as we stay at home to remain safe.

We can either keep ourselves busy by learning new things or we continue to shout Bored at home! bored at home!! Bored at home!!!. The choice is yours. But I beg you all that have the opportunity to stay at home, please, Don't come out of this more Empty and useless, than before, some of us are working daily and putting our lives in the line so you can have a memorable stay at home experience.

Please be safe.

#Nasa.
