Gabkosh:Why ondo is on top is because of oil exploration that's why other major oil producing states like Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Delta are on top, minus oil exploration Ondo is far below Anambra state in industrial sector. |

Anambralstson:Lol, which issue, so you still dragging it with the host state? Imo and abia self couldn't produce up to 1% of oil in the nation. But let start with agriculture first. |

Anambralstson:Mr. Statistician. Do you know according to the NBS statistics, the SW has the lowest poverty rate (Excluding Lagos) than any region collectively? Osun is the state with the lowest poverty rate. Source: NATIONAL POVERTY RATES FOR NIGERIA: 2003-04 (REVISED) AND 2009-10 (Abridged Report) Image 1 and 2. Again sir, Do you know according to the UNDP, the SW has the lowest poverty rate (Excluding Lagos) than any region collectively? Again, Osun is the state with the lowest poverty rate. Nowenuse:See stats below. Three SW states with the average of 94%. Fact People like Legendhero will now say that Yorubas are better than Nigerdeltans because they Nigerdeltans do not brag and post long lists of their rich and big business people online.Which area are the Nigerdeltans better? Oga, I get am before nor be property... And the first to start is not always the first to finish.Have you agreed SW was far educated than the North as at 1920? Besides, who are the Itsekiri? ![]() You can see why I am correct. ![]() And besides, that picture of Abeokuta you claim is 1913 is a lie from the pit of hell! That picture is for Ibadan in the 60s when Cocoa money was flowing into the Western region. The first picture is Ibadan. The church building was built in 1851. ![]() Railway was connected to Ibadan from Lagos in 1900. ![]()

You people should really pray that Nigeria divides on Friendly terms, if not so many money making institutions in Yorubaland will die a natural death. How would they die a natural death? Is it because you wish so or economic reality will force them to? The last time I check, the Yoruba nation has a population of between 40-50m. This is close to a country like South Africa, a country with more university and founding for education than the whole of Nigeria. If Nigeria divide, no matter the circumstance surrounding her division, rest assured that the Yoruba will be okay and will put these institutions to great use. These are the reasons why I tell my own people that we must work together with Igbos & Nigerdeltans.[/quote]The gain from such a union pales in comparison to the problem these two religious extremist group will post. When Nigeria finally disintegrate the Yorubas will go out alone without forming a union with anyone. |

So in these lock down crisis nationwide, the East so far and to some extent parts of the North have been the least affected/hit by the COVID19 crisis, there have been no reports of hunger protests or other forms of social unrest anywhere in the East as far as reports go. But the case is quite different In the Southwest, the supposedly utopian region of sophisticated billionaires, the most civilized people in Africa according to some, and the region with the lowest poverty index in the world (no pun intended) according to many. Yet the reports of thousands scrambling for oil in muddied waters keep emerging from Ogun state, the other day it was hundreds scrambling for ordinary bread in Lagos (whatever happened to social distancing)?, in Ogun state again another report of young men protesting/attacking Chinese owned businesses emerged... needless to mention increasing cases of the COVID19 in major parts of the region...now we have Awawa boys, 1 million boys and other criminal outfits terrorising parts of Lagos (I know they will as usual blame the Igbos on these one again ) even the majority if not all of the suspects and perpetrators caught so far have all been Yorubas. So my question is, where are all these paper statistics of the South West been the most buoyant region in Africa, the richest and all the accolades that have been mellifluously accorded to the region by many here? how come we're not seeing these facts on ground? Please I want someone to explain to me what's actually going on... No insults please. Where are all the Yoruba Forbes list billionaires, and what are they doing to curb these hunger games madness going on in the SW states? |

Anambralstson:If I attach Lagos to the chart you guys will be here claiming it’s no man’s land. I purposely don’t want to do it collectively coz all of you will be shouting Lagos is what made SW lowest poverty ranking. So I did it by each individual states and you can clearly see that the SW beats the SE even without Lagos. That was why I excluded Lagos and the SW still beats the SE hands down. Wait self, Is Lagos now part of the SW according to you guys? I thought you always claim you were the owners and we shouldn’t involve the stat of Lagos as part of SW glory. What changed today Anambralstson? Now let’s add Lagos. SW still beats SE in those metrics ![]()

Anambralstson:When you come up with a hypothesis, to be taken seriously you need to back it with facts. You can't just make such a statement without any evidence. Even before the discovering of oil, Ondo was the largest producer of cocoa, Kolanut and one the largest producer of timber in Nigeria. The production of these cash crops brings about the development of industries. When Easterners compare their states to the southwest, they only look at their trading and how huge their market is. From this shaking foundation, they normally conclude that they're the Japan of Africa without looking at other sectors of the economy. |
