How about disavowing them in GSC? As long as your site is concerned, the links are still pointing to your website. Your options would be to:

1. Disavow via GSC.
2. Ping your site to inform crawler bots of a major change.
3. Wait a while before your site is recrawled and the new data updated.

You don't need to know them. Every detailed webmaster must have, at some point, noticed that some low quality sites link to them for no reason. Some even mess up one's analytics.

Just disavow them and that should do.

if he doesn't know them, then how do you expect him to do the magic of doing that. just like chasing shadows.

how can someone walk in the dark when it comes to stuffs like this. even seo expert will need tools to get spamming links as they won't be able to guess which is causing the increase in spam score. in the first place, he even needs go identify where his website are linking to and he cannot guess it either.

as for the op, you can use moz free trial account to scan your site to get the links pointing to your domain. there is an option on moz to check spam score which will show you all spamming links to your website. just download the CSV and select the ones with high score and use google search console disavow tool to get the job done.

if you need moz free trial 30 days. I can provide that for you.

You don't need Moz to do that. Just disavow them on your Google Search Console.

do you mean one should just enter any link on google disavow tool or what. that is blind move because one needs to get the back links regardless any tools. so if I asked you to disavow back links for my domain.

how would you go about doing it without getting the links profile . will you just assume this site is linking to my domain or you will use a tool to get the back link profile. it doesn't necessarily have to be moz as there are lots of seo tools one can use to get back link profile. so tell me because me too want to learn how to disavow links without getting back links profile

Here's how to recognize spammy links:

1. The domain extensions are largely unconventional.
2. The alphabets that make them up are either mumbled, short, or unnecessarily long.

Your argument makes you come off as someone who doesn't use or understand Google Search Console. For every link in your GSC links section, there's always an 'open in a new tab' or 'copy' if you put your mouse point hover on any link captured. All you have to do is visit such site from there and decide whether or not you want to allow such sites to point to yours.

So you want to tell me that you'll require the help of tools like MOZ or AHREFS to check whether or not the links below should be left alone or disavowed? Again, you don't need any tool to tell whether or not a link is spammy and can hurt your site.

those using moz and href dont have 2 heads. it makes it easier. that is why automation is being bought by even banks else lots of stuffs manually done would slow the job. using those tools is recommended to make the job easier.

why should I waste my time trying to check all link manually when there is a tool to get the job done within minutes.

your logic of using google search console to find those links and visit one after the other is optional for those who want to use the manual process and its also cool. moreover, its not all short domain names and those unconventional domains that are spamming. some are still okay to leave.

but as for me, I see no reason for using it when I can make use of moz provided I have access to it. I can only sort to use google search console for this process if I don't have access to moz.

if not for automations, lots of stuffs would be very slow to get done. so moz still beats this manual process you've just mentioned. also, moreover, google search console is still an seo tool which I thought you said one doesn't need a tool for finding back links.

Erhm... By 'automation' you mean MOZ or AHREFS disavow the links

So the question has moved from 'how to recognize bad/spammy links to manual or auto process now? Can we just maintain a topic and see it through?

So many flawed arguments in your pos that I honestly don't know whether to quote them one after the other and address them or just believe that your main aim is selling, which I clearly understand.

That said, I download my backlink profiles, create my disavow file and conduct my audit and then submit the disavow file within 10/15minutes. I guess 15 minutes is forever? Lol.

I'm done here.
