Fifty eight Boko Haram Militants will face criminal charges in court from Thursday 16th April according to Chad's Justice Minister, Djimet Arabi. They had been rounded up in an operation by Chadian troops on the fringes of lake chad. The operation according to a Chadian army spokesman, led to the death of 52 soldiers and 1,000 jihadists. Chad’s President, Idriss Deby Itno, had led the operation to drive Militants elements out of Chad on March 31 to April 8 an operation he asserts as completely successful. Chad is part of the Joint Multinational Force with Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger fighting Boko Haram in the region but according to President Deby may be limit the fight to it's borders. Chad had also given Nigeria ultimatum to take possession of bases recovered by it's troops from Boko Haram before 22th April as it will be withdrawing it's troops. Interestingly Boko Haram terrorists in the custody of the Nigerian Government rather than prosecuted for their crimes are often rehabilitated and sent back into society. The Chadians have yet again taught us another lesson, first they had moved in on the insurgents overwhelmed and virtually decimated them, now they are holding them accountable for their crimes. This is the attitude the Nigerian Government should have towards the terrorists. Since the onset of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North, Nigerians have never heard of person's captured by the militants and treated humanely. Insanely as it is, till today some girls captured by Boko Haram from chibok still remain in captivity or probably dead. So one wonders if our leaders know what they are doing or "they actually do". Please let's put lives above selfish interest and figure out a way to bring this madness to an end.

That Chadian president should be prosecuted.. 1. For invading Nigeria territory with army 2. Doing all his military operation in Nigeria without permission or supervision. 3.killing Nigerians in their own soil. 4.giving a whole giant of Africa ultimatum on what to do. 5.refusing to handover prisoners of war to the Nigeria authority to handle the matter . 6. A Muslim killing Muslim ...making Islam bad in the unbelievers crooked eyes Idris is the real terrorist. Our darling president Buhari will soon respond adequately. |

In times like this, many Nigerians would have preferred Idriss Debby as their president. Click Like for Debby and Share for Buhari. |
