Love4God:

What about the discharged cases in Edo state,Enugu State and Rivers State ?
Why is the numbers not reduced in those states ?
Or did another five persons contract the coronavirus in Edo state ,or did another Two persons contract the virus in Enugu State or who completed the Rivers State coronavirus patients to be two again.
Nigeria and record keeping ! Very poor.
Even NCDC can't adjust the list promptly.
I know some people at the top are benefitting from not updating the list correctly.
check how it is done in other countries b4 u start ranting....NCDC is following the standard format...recorded cases' is different from 'active cases'

The testing has evidently been expanded. Interestingly most of the cases in Nigeria are mild to moderate.

Where we should be concerned is when the figures rise to a point where our medical infrastructure is overwhelmed and cases now graduate from mild to serious and critical.

We are not there now and may we never be there.

Putin of Russia that toyed with this insidious virus because of his political ambition, is in dire confusion right now, having relocated from Mosco, the epicentre, to a remote location. From there he is now dishing out instructions to his subordinates.

A few weeks ago he was so generous donating test kits to the US and some part of Europe. He thought Covid-19 was a phenomenon he had experienced before. I think he was doing all that to spite the US thus presenting himself as a better organized president who is more proactive. Today the story is quite different. Russia needs more test kits now cheesy

The story of Brazil is even funnier cheesy

I have said all this for those shouting audio, audio, scam, scam blablablah. The world is dealing with a phenomenon yet to be understood. Most near vaccine feats are still at best speculative.

But we will overcome. But for now everyone must accept the obvious reality stirring us in the face.

Will the lockdown be extended? Will the lockdown be as effective here as it has apparently been in developed climes? Can Nigeria actually be able to practice social distancing with our kind of living circumstance? Can Nigeria survive say a 3-month lockdown?
Time will tell, but there is hope.

We may not need to borrow every step adopted by other nations. We want to adopt measures taking into sharp cognizance our peculiar context and socio-cultural reality.

I choose to stop here for now.

We are Africans, with our will we will overcome this disease beyond the expectation and to the chargrin of keen distant onlookers.

Cheers everyone.

Some of them will not believe until they are infected. I told someone who was doubting the figures to take a stroll to IDH Yaba and hug one of the patients and see if he won't be infected.

The figure might just grow in couple of days. I just weep for people not obeying the stay at home order and not maintaining social distance. People are gonna start panicking when death rate starts double every 24hrs

As far as I know,NCDC will not want this coronavirus to stop.If it stop their dreams of becoming a billionaire will cease.
They will know that someone has malaria They will forcefully quarantine the victim and say it is coronavirus.

Hugging does not transmit the Virus ,If there is no Body fluid like saliva through cough ,sneezing by a carrier dropping into another person via the mouth or Nostrils ,Also If you wash your hands after touching surfaces or persons ,U cant get it ,It's those that fails to wash hands then use same hands on the eyes ,nose and mouth .

When I say 'hug' I mean go near or put yourself at risk not really 'hug'. Allowing him/her to sneeze 50cm to you is enough..

This is an irresponsible statement to make. The scientists also worship God for your information. You think they've not been trying God since day one? I believe in God but don't make senseless statements like science has failed. So we should stop treatment or testing or searches for vaccines or cures or what is the meaning of your statement?

Not everything you ask, though.

Discharged + Death= No case.

Total confirmed case - No case= Real confirmed case.

This is the highest so far, I think. One quick question :

Aside from the known fact that Lagos is well populated, why is the rate of newly discovered cases in other states very slow? The one for Edo is crawling like snail. some states have been on 2 cases only for almost a week now.

Testing centres are just being set up in those places. Once they have lots of equipments in those area, except more cases there.
