No Ramadan Lectures, Congregational Prayers This Year, Sultan Declares by Jadsy01(op):
As Muslims begin Ramadan fasting this week, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared that, there will be no Ramadan lecture sessions and congregation prayers in Mosques.

The Sultan told Nigerian Muslims that, this year’s Ramadan is one with a difference, (www.ekomiami.com.ng) in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, hence everyone should pray at home with their families, as Muslims cannot afford to be reckless with their lives.

Sultan in a statement issued through the Secretary-General of JNI, Dr Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, therefore, recommended that Muslim faithful should in addition to recitation of the Holy Qur’an, listen to Ramadan lecture through internet and other virtual means.

No traveling to any foreign country to stone any imaginary devil.

Stone all the visible ones here in Nigeria, starting from the one in our Rock

Let's see if they will adhere.

Ramadan is nothing without the joint sessions - at the beginning and end of each day's fast.

The money paid to radio and tv stations for lectures should be used to feed people.

A hungry man doesn't have strength to listen to lectures. All he cares now is to eat and survive this trying times.

Ramadan without the public lectures and joint prayers and joint breaking of fast.

Desperate conditions require desperate measures.

Covid-19 has taught humbled humanity.
