Police officer prays for pastor violating Covid-19 lockdown rules before arresting him

A SAPS officer has received praise after a video of him praying before arresting a pastor went viral.

The pastor was arrested for holding a church gathering when mass gatherings have been prohibited during the lockdown, as declared by the president, which commenced on midnight Thursday 26 March.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on everyone to stay at home to minimise the spread of the virus which has become a pandemic.

I guess he prayed thus: Father, I respect You and I respect Your Word, for Your Word says- touch not mine anointed and my prophets do no harm. But your Word also says respect the kings and those in authority (power) as a representative of those in authority which this Your anointed one has defy their orders, I am here to enforce the recompense of disobedience to which this Your servant is guilty of, please do not hold this against me in Jesus name, Amen
