When they probably could have nipped the spread of the pandemic in that region in the bud, the NGF said their region is too important, probably to the nation's economy, to be lockeddown. Now the reality has dawned on them. I hope it won't be escalated during Ramadan, where a number of Muslim extremists will insist on congregating for prayers. Some among them have even said it is a Western lie and are probably angry that Saudi Arabia succumbed to the propaganda of the West.

Unfortunately this COVID-19 is really going to be fatal in Nigeria. UK, USA, Spain, Italy & France are already paying their dudes in a gruesome way.
Nobody is ever sufficiently prepared for this beast of a disease. No sane people should believe the deflated numbers NCDC is displaying.

Why can't they be proactive in keeping track of their inventory so at to make plans to restock before evrything runs out??

What do they think this is?? The FG should pls take over from kano state taskforce ,if they play with the situation in kano state i swear the whole of naija will live to regret it.

With the way Nigeria is going, I think this virus will have a field day in Nigeria. I think it will kill many, and reduce our population to maybe 150 million, from the current 200 million

I say this with tears, because I know even those who are responsible and respecting social distancing will be affected. Very sad

Let us do the math.

The highest number for mortality rate I've seen is 3%.
We have a population of 200m.
(3÷100)*200=6

So if the whole Nigeria were to be infected we would have dead 6million people (God forbid).
This would be deaths directly caused by the virus.
But we can't calculate the number of deaths that could occur because of unemployment, starvation, the global economy collapse, recession.

God save us all.
