Italy, Spain and New York has been on lockdown for weeks.. Their numbers are increasing.. So your assertion is false

Their numbers are decreasing. If you are anywhere as intelligent as you think you are, then you will know that it is not absolute numbers that matter but the rate of increase or decrease. The numbers in Italy and Spain are decreasing. The numbers in new York have peaked and will start to decrease. The numbers in Nigeria are increasing daily even with our small tests.

It is not about the absolute numbers but the rate of change. If you have more numbers today than yesterday continuously the virus is spreading and vise versa.
