The United States government has described the late Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari as a dedicated public servant and respected interlocutor for the American government.

In a condolence message to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Tibor Nagy, eulogized the important role played by Kyari in the repatriation of over $300 million in funds stolen by the former head of state, Sani Abacha.

Nagy in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu said, ‘‘Kyari was a valued and respected interlocutor for the U.S. government and particularly for our leadership team in Abuja.

‘‘We appreciate working with him on many important matters, including the return to the Nigerian people of over $300 million in funds stolen by Sani Abacha.

‘‘He envisioned the funds going to three geographically disparate infrastructure projects as a way to unite Nigeria economically.”

The U.S. Assistant Secretary noted that this vision, encapsulated by the late Chief of Staff, was a reflection of his tireless championing of a solid and prosperous future for Nigeria.

He said, ‘‘His dedication to this matter, to fighting corruption, and to countless other investments and policies for the future of Nigeria will leave a lasting impact on your country.”

While commiserating with the government and people of Nigeria, the Kyari family on the loss, the U.S. government pledged to stand with Nigeria in the struggle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Personally, i think Mallam Abba Kyari was a good man whose only sin was to follow the golden rules of being a truly good Interlocutor who possess some high qualities of trustworthyness, compassion, optimism and good communication skills that didn't just made him the chosen one in the presidential villa, but, was also given the power to build a high barrier between the President and all corrupt Nigerian leaders /politicians that almost drove them crazy to the extend of labelling him all sorts of names when he was alive and started celebrating his death while he was still on mechanical ventilation.

So the question now is this, where is the returned kwudi?

With this revelation coming from the United States government, I want say that Nigeria lost a patriotic man who was grossly misunderstood by people he diligently served.

At this point, I think any person with good CONSCIENCE who hated, cursed or wished death to Abba Kyari for NO just cause other than HEARSAY should be humble enough to offer POSTHUMOUS apology to him.

May God have mercy on his soul.

Whatever views may be expressed about the late Kyari,majority of Nigerians across different political persuasions believe this present administration has not lived up to minimum expectations.

It will be better to allow the man to Rest In Peace than all that is flying around.
