Those were symptoms of covid-19. Less you forget it all started like malaria and later transcended to his inability to breathe. The lungs must have been attacked by then.

Did u say must? See, two things are look like alike doesnt mean they are same. The symptoms look like covid doesnt mean it is covid.

This thing is looking like a script. I am not talking about the woman and her family. That sickness could be anything an be typhoid that perforated the intestine or even malaria that we call common and it could be covid.

Someone mentioned here that there was a similar outbreak about this time last year. People are saying it is not covid because no test was done to confirm that a d gandollar is keeping numb hoping for 15b naira from fg he doesnt want to commit his funds.

The banker got I'll on friday. . Corona virus doesn't kill in 2 days...

Most of those deaths in Kano can't be covid 19 because it doesn't kill suddenly, it usually takes up to at least 7 days after showing systoms. .

Even Malaria has killed up to 29 persons in Nigeria since we began locked down.

I don't believe this desease can thrive in Africa like it does in the west.

My best friend back then in the university works in Kano. Most a times, I confirm from him to know the situation of things over there. He said he has never seen "careless" set of people in his life like the Kano people. I can authoritatively tell you that a large chunk of the populace in Kano still don't believe that Corona virus exist. If you want Kano people to give you a listening ear, you need to engage the religious leaders.

Religion is what is restricting the corpses from autopsy. They bury their deads within 24hours. They know the course of the deaths but who will summon enough courage to go and take samples from the dead and conduct a test. NCDC workers in Kano tested positive, who again will like to work in that center?
Everybody should go and write his will and submit to a bank because lawyers and not safe either.
But in circumstances like this, Islam permits autopsy

You just said it. They are careless. That death could be anything because no test was carried out to confirm. Most of the doctors in some states dont want to treat people cos there is no PPE. Some one also wrote here that something like that happened last year.

To say the fact, Gandollar is a stupid person. Why did NCDC leave Kano? Is that a plan to come back and say aahhh water don pass garri. This guy needs 20b and not 15b as requested earlier.

Some of our compatriots are heartless, they dont mind to trade the lives of their citizens for money. To such people, death is death covid 19 is just another description.

Why is ganduje not doing anything with state money? He has nothing down. I am sorry if that is your state but truth be told this is not election result. I commiserate with the family. But two two things look alike doesnt make it same.

Here, I am in Kuka-Bulukiya (Dala Cemetery) staying distantly from funeral procession. Four corpses are already in for burial and nobody knows how many are on their ways. We lost three close neighbours in less than 24 hours! We all know this is unusual and KNSG is not doing anything to investigate the rising cases of deaths.

No coroner. No autopsy reports

Nigeria is in a dark time from all the darkness our leaders has put us through
Even if Nigeria is not a developed country don't every corpse deserve an autopsy?

I believe in Nigeria more than 30 percents of all the total death deserves a thorough homicide investigation

You keep making reference to "something like this happened last year". This is just hear say. On Tuesday, I already got the information that the medical staff at the facility were infected but the media said they ran out of reagent, fumigation was being carried out etc. The grave diggers said in recent times, they haven't buried that number of death.

You are also reacting to "maybe it is covid". No doctor confirmed the recent death to covid. If we want to go by just the deaths, Covid is normally not brief. One or two cases may be an exception but not all the cases. Haba! . Saying they closed ithe centre down cos they are infected is just to way to inflate figures in future and boom dollars starts to roll in.

Are you saying in Lagos, none of the health care givers has contracted it? Did they close the centre down? Hospitals in Lagos where they had positive cases were closed down for just three days after contamination. Why do you think some states are increasing the hazard allowance of health workers?

Are you aware that Ganduje has started releasing figures of infected cases? Does he now work with NCDC? I am sure he is thinking it is election results.

The Problem is that, most hospitals are locked up and the private ones( if there's any) are rejecting patients with normal malaria and typhoid( due to the corona stuff I think) though some of these patients might have died from corona virus.

What I have issue with; was the governor denying the death, pretending all is well.

Facts
That man died of Covid complications until proven otherwise.
Because he developed fever on Friday doesn't mean Covid hasn't been in his body for longer
You guys don't seem to know the kind of havoc covid is causing in countries seriously battling with it.
People are dropping dead on the streets in some countries.
Fit young men have been noticed to suddenly deteriorate, and dying. One minutes they're talking and gistingbwith you. The next hour, you're discussing putting them on ventilator
There is a reason the whole world is scared right now, with no solution yet in sight. You're still enjoying in Nigeria thinking this is a joke.
Covid doesn't hide when it means business with you. It has specific symptoms that can differentiate it from malaria, typhoid. Even the old grandma was easily able to diagnose her son in law on the phone .
About 80%of those with covid will have mild symptoms. The remaining 20% will have severe symptoms and need hospitalization for pneumonia, kidney failure , and all sorts of organ failure with some of them needing ventilation (only about 30%of those needing ventilation will survive it)

An inescapable horror movie is playing out in real life, throughout the entirety of planet Earth, sparing virtually no inhabited area, and claiming victims both rich and poor in a frighteningly random fashion.

Hundreds of years in the future, descendants of those who survived this contagion by virtue of genetic immunity or pure luck, will read about events of the year 2020 with a shudder of primal fear, as they contemplate the slow-motion nightmare that we are facing today, with nowhere to run.

It is really scary stuff happening now.
The West is having some success, and their infection rates and fatalities are reducing .
Africa seems to just want to start it's own drama. All eyes are on Africa now, and some folks are eagerly waiting for it to spread.
Nigeria has to tackle this Kano issue like a war, and give as much support as possible. I'm not sure about the competency of their governor, but the presidency shouldn't just leave it in his hands
