fatymore:I wonder o. With adequate staffing a few days would do. Only the toxicology part can take weeks most times. It seems in 9ja families must pay for autopsy. In serious countries sudden deaths, suspicious deaths, certain in-hospital and some deaths after discharge from hospital automatically warrant autopsy shouldered by the State/govt. I don't understand why kano state is shying away from conducting forensic and scientific autopsy on the deads. Relying solely on verbal autopsy by those local mortuary attendants is suicidal and could lead to genocide. What kind of govt do we have in Nigeria handling death matters with levity.
