Commissioner of Health Dr @AMBaloni has confirmed that five new cases of Covid-19 have been identified among five almajirai who were in a set that was recently repatriated from Kano. This has increased active Covid-19 cases in the state to nine.

They carry them come from kano just to remain in the game.

And Kano is claiming Covid19 is not the cause of the present high death rate.

This is recklessness of the highest order.

If 5 almajiris from Kano can test positive, imagine the number of people that cud have already been in trouble.

Osinbajo would have done a far better job. But of course he's not to be given any visibility. With a lethargic president, the PTF have been wobbling and fumbling with face masks the only sign of seriousness from them.

The focus should have been testing and isolating not sharing of audio 20k to invisible poorest of the poor.

We were told a test cost N10,000. if the government had carried out 300,000 test in potential hot spots areas like Lagos and Kano. we will have been ready to open up our economy by now.

However, after four weeks and billions of Naira later, we seem to be in a worst situation than we were four weeks ago.

The problem is more of management and not medical knowledge my brother. There are no targets for containment, no proper identification of hotspots, no timelines and milestones to tell us where we are and where we want to be. It's just about watching CNN, Skye and Aljazeera and doing what others are doing even if we don't understand why they are doing it. Yoruba will say oun ti a maa je l'agba oun ti a maa se. If there's no target, how do you even decide the best way to get there? If we decided that we expect to test 500,000 people and work towards that, it becomes a target that all hands are on deck to achieve. We know the disease came from outside. What efforts were made to insulate the hinterland from the international ports of entry? Even China insulated Wuhan from Shanghai and Beijing and therefore did not record a single case in those two critical cities. The truth is that SGF and that Aliyu coordinator are incompetent. They have no idea of crisis management or planning at least. All their press briefings na just forming activity.
