I wish same.... Maybe we can form our own "UPU" here, even though I am from Delta North, I always identify with all the geo-political zones in the state.

I am a detribalised Deltan, I am a Proud Deltan.

Oniovo'me I Tire Oh. Infact I Read in one of fratermathy's old thread where he posited that Okpe & Uvwie Kingdoms has less dan a 1000 speakers respectively because the overwhelming majority have now adopted d general urhobo dialect. according to him its even on the decline because only the elderly & matured ones with a minute fraction of d newer generations speak okpe. This Is Like Saying Because Illaje Yoruba Is Deeper dan d normal yoruba, people from illaje are not Omualabis. The rate at which these people go about spreading lies about those of us dat are not from their region these days, scares me.
if there's a way we can identify our pple onhere it would be good
Uvwie has completely lost it, Okpe speakers should be more than 5000, most especially those in semi-urban areas like Ughokodo, Ughoton etc, these area still speak the core okpe dialect, majority also communicate with central Urhobo dialect.

I personally understand the Uvwie dialect but can't speak fluently, okpe is out of my league grin. @bolded You shouldn't worry about these false claims, this thread isn't ours so no need engaging anyone, be rest assured we have an army ready to defend our identity and culture when the needs arise.

Please I entreat all Igbos here to completely ignore these attention seeking degenerates trying to inundate the discourse with their nonsense. Biko let's focus on the thesis/reason for the thread here - Anioma will always unapologetically and proudly identify and promote the beauty of the Igbo culture. The era of irrelevant idiots trying to distort that reality by pushing funny agendas (majority of them are not even Anioma anyway) is way over.

Proudly Anioma, Alaigbo ga di gi de.

I have benefitted alot from my State, especially from the Urhobo's and Itsekiri who sat and watch my infant head, so tell me why won't I be proud of my people.

Not bad at all. I recall an Urhobo group that metamorphosed from Nairaland some years ago. We moved to WhatsApp at the time and it was the only place I found to be fun then. So many ideas on reaching out to a larger group. Unfortunately, I got busy and so did so many people till it went out.

Can't even remember the name again but it was worth it.
