Across the border many types of units coexist. However the distinction is minimal or token at best.

1. Regular Pak.... army / paramilitary units

2. Regular terrorist / jihadi units from Pak.... terrorist organisations like LeT , JeM etc etc usually under the command of ex Pak.... army / ex SSG / ISI handlers.

3. Mixed units comprising of Pak..... army units and terrorists from mujahideen brigades along with their ex army / SSG / ISI handlers.

4. BAT ( border action teams ) comprising of members from Pak...... SSG and Fidayeen ( jihadi suicide squad ) units.

Etc.
Etc.

The posts across the border can be occupied by any one of the above or in any combination as they deem fit wheather it is a purely army post or it is purely terrorist post or it is a terrorist launch pad or a combined army / terrorist post.

Long story short operationally there is no distinction between regular soldiers and terrorists along the Pak.... side of loc. Both are one and the same , working and operating under a single central command - GHQ Rawalpindi.

The shots were not fired by snipers but by designated marksman.

Thanks for the clarification man !
However if this type of coexistence still continues it will be volatile for the region, the earlier they settle there score the better.
