VIO are organised OBT syndicate that uses the name of nonchalant government to perpetrate evil. I paid and did vehicle test in Abuja and I was issued certificate of road worthiness. On getting to Imo state, they condemned what I did in Abuja, impounded my vehicle on account that the road worthiness is saying private whereas my plate number is commercial. I told them that the VIO officer in Abuja said it does not matter when I asked. Long story short , I called the Abuja officer and they spoke with her including her overall oga. Finally I was told to pay N6,000 for penalty and another road worthiness when the one I had with me is not expired.
In another rump, I was coming from Karu to town and Kugbo VIO stopped me around that Karu bridge. Oga can we see your papers I politely gave them. After checking, the guy asked where is your drivers and conductor badge. I got confuse and asked, I thought it is nail people that ask for driver and conductor badge. They said VIO do ask also and I told them I do not have. They took me to their office. On getting there I asked them to issue me the driver and conductor badge they said they don't have. Then why are you asking for what you do not have where do I get it. I was told to pay N3,000 fine and go. They brought one fraudulent paper, wrote on it and collected my N3,000. I asked one officer oga, I thought there is TSA why can't I pay in the bank like road safety does. The officer looked at me and said, it seems you still want to remain here.
Walahi, Nigeria is a big joke.

ShySteady:
This is exactly (or even worse) what hundreds of Nigerians go through everyday in the country they are supposed to be patriotic/loyal to the authorities. The i.diots take your simplicity for cowardice and milk you dry because you never behaved like them.

Talking about V.I.O. personnels deployed to the roads, I will tell you this about them:
1. Most of them are uneducated, untrained and un-informed about their particular roles.
2. A lot of them go out without the hope of returning back home alive due to unforeseen circumstances
3. They usually smoke and drink to be high so as to behave thuggish
4. They are very poor

When talking to any of these personnel (V.I.O. and FRSC), make sure you don't laugh with them or even try to plead in any way. It makes you look like like an ATM in their eyes. Look straight in their eyes, act tough and try to quote whatever laws. If that doesn't work, be prepared for the worse, especially if you look/dress civilised. The only other thing they understand is to behave like them. What I mean is to become a super-possessed thug, and mean it.

Why do you think they hardly stop taxis or buses? Those guys smoke the same with them and are always ready for the worse.

Nigeria has gotten to a level where being a gentleman fetches you nothing but pain and anguish. Look at Oshiomhole, El_Rufai, Amaechi, Fayose, Dino Melaye, Ganduje, Festus Keyamo, etc and compare them to people like Olu Falae, Ogbonnaya Onu, etc. The more rugged you are, the better respected you become in the Nigeria of today!
You na my guy...my very kind of person. It takes extreme madness to cure craze in Nigeria and me, I get the madness ehn in excess. Wetin I Wan go do now na to buy baseball baton or small "tool" keep for motor because of those foolish government thugs.

I don't stop for them, I don't negotiate with them and when push turns to shove, I go beat you! Stand for my road, I go jam you die then I go go spray my motor another colour and I go warn you first. These agencies always want to over step their boundaries.

See these stupid MOT people in Enugu here... These idiots don even dey ask for drivers license as I heard. I dey hope say I go use another one count scores...those ones when I get wahala with for Otigba roundabout and new heaven junction don learn their lesson and when dem see me dey come, dem know say na craze and wahala in one super pack dey drive come so dem don learn to give me chance.

God knows i stopped driving to work during the week as at last month, after i saw VIO back on the road. After a horrible experience with them at oshodi some years back...i got humbled that you cant be sane and drive around lagos during the day. frivolous faults with my vehicle rude staffs and a fight cos i refused to allow them drive my car, if it was being impounded then they should either tow it or i drive it myself. One fool took it personal when i said what gives him the right to drive my car i hustled to buy...it then got tribal.
Last..Last...i parted with 45k, annoyingly the server for payments where down, so i had to go to alausa to make some payments and find a way to prove my Tax status
