Nigeria is better off on those measures than the United Arab Emirates for instance. That was even more so in 2015 when those measures were a lot stronger, apart from forex reserves if I recall.

But if you have brain cells, you will recognize that concluding from this that Nigeria is financially stronger than South Africa, Qatar or the United Arab Emirates is unpardonably stupid. If you think the residents of Lagos live in a financially stronger country than the residents of Dubai, Cape Town or Abu Dhabi, you need a psychiatrist.

Nigeria has low debt to GDP for instance but it doesn't matter if you also have low tax revenues to GDP, which isn't included in this study. How can you pay debt if you can't collect tax?

It is a ranking based on public and foreign debt.

Buhari has borrowed more than any other president. It is a miracle Nigeria is ranked that high.

If that ranking was done in 2014 and earlier, Nigeria would have ranked 1 to 5.

Sycophant.

With steady, consistent stewardship we can get out of this mess. The above is not a measure of development it's just a gauge of financial stability or prospect.

It's just like the case of Greece some years ago where they could no longer finance their so called "developed" standard of living causing the Chinese to bail them out. China now holds Greece by the balls (china owns most of Greece's main port)

Or currently Lebanon where the government borrowed most of the country's depositors' funds and simply defaulted (imagine a government default on bonds)

we are not there yet and hopefully won't get there we still have some serious shock absorbers in our economy and besides we are not too entangled in the global financial system like that. God save us sha.

Ameen, you can already see how the ones cursed with despair are acting up like deranged beings. Once you ceased their corruption feeding bottle they begin to wail endlessly like bush babies.
