Jehovah created men and women to fill complementary roles in marriage. (Genesis 2:18) As family head, a husband should take the lead in providing materially for his family and in teaching them about God. He should be self-sacrificing in his love for his wife. Husbands and wives should love and respect each other. Since all husbands and wives are imperfect, learning to forgive is a key to happiness in marriage.—Read Ephesians 4:31, 32; 5:22-25, 33; 1 Peter 3:7. If you experience difficulties in your marriage, both of you should work at treating each other with love. (1 Corinthians 13:4, 5) God’s Word does not recommend separation as a way to resolve problems that are common in marriage.—Read 1 Corinthians 7:10-13. Satan’s world is becoming more and more wicked, and there are some people who may want to harm our children, even sexually abuse them. Some parents find it difficult to talk about this subject. But parents need to warn their children about such people and teach them how to avoid them. Parents, you must protect your children.—1 Peter 5:8. When the members of a family follow God’s instructions, they avoid trouble and many problems. So if you are a husband, love your wife and treat her with love. If you are a wife, be respectful and submissive to your husband and imitate the example of the wife described at Proverbs 31:10-31. If you are a parent, teach your children to love God. (Proverbs 22:6) If you are a father, guide your family “in a fine manner.” (1 Timothy 3:4, 5; 5: And children, obey your parents. (Colossians 3:20) Remember that each person in the family can make mistakes, so be humble and ask one another for forgiveness. Yes, the Bible contains Jehovah’s guidance for every person in the family. You can find more information on how to protect your children in chapter 32 of the book Learn From the Great Teacher, published by Jehovah’s Witnesses.A child doesn’t have to obey his parents if they want him to do something that is against God’s law.—Acts 5:29.

learning to forgive is a key to happiness in marriage. This is very important in marriage, as in veeerry important. But unfortunately ppl still go in with the mindset of an eye for eye like they do to others on the streets. When u hear.. me, I trust myself, I cannot take nonsense, me the daughter/son of the Lion of ogbuefi village, I hate rubbish. And I'll be wondering, is this the person who wants to marry.. my dear there are many realistic rubbish you will take in marriage. The earlier you're broken-spirited, the better. However, more importantly is to marry who you're compatible with. Someone who is ok with your weaknesses at realistic bounds and whose weaknesses doesn't bore you too. |
