This is not the time to arrest. Na time to caution. If you arrest, the spread will hit law enforcement. Well that would not be a bad idea for the overzealous law enforcement officers ![]() |

*Lockdown Relaxation.* My dear, Permit me to kindly advise you to think twice before joining the multitudes that would jump into the street by 4th of May, 2020. We can't come this far only to go back so fast! The 4th of May is not the expiration date for the corona virus, you can still contact it, so think twice before you make the decision of going out and if you finally decide to go out please, be more careful than you have ever been. The Spanish flu of 1918 killed over 50million people, reason being that soon as the isolation was relaxed, people rushed into the streets to resume their normal lives without being mindful that the flu was still around and within the first three weeks of the relaxation, over 35million persons lost their lives. Let's not give room for history to repeat itself. Extend your own lockdown beyond 4th of May if you can. While countries like America, Italy and China were in lockdown, their governments were busy disinfecting the streets of their nations. While Nigerians were on lockdown, our governments would have disinfected our streets and putting measures in place to checkmate the spread of the virus. America, Italy, China are relaxing their lock down and our copy and paste governments - Federal and States - are also relaxing ours. The citizens of the above nations will go into disinfected streets while we will carelessly rush into a highly contaminated society. Think twice! America, China and other nations began to think of relaxing their lockdown when they started experiencing low record of Coronavirus cases but our government chose to relax our lockdown even when we are still experiencing massive increase innreported cases of the virus. If wisdom has eluded our leaders in the aspects of decision making, and those who still believes and preaches its a scam in Nigeria as if we are in different planet, let wisdom not also elude us in making our own personal decisions. Be guided, think twice, stay home and stay safe. Those who will tell the story of this Coronavirus are those that took painstaking measures to stay indoors: you can choose to be one of us. Be Responsible. Think. And think again. |

All i know is that if a carrier of the deadly virus tries to board a bus,he must have to come in contact with any surface or sit, also making the spread worsen because other passengers that would board the same bus there after will eventually sit or touch the same surface that the carrier touched.. It's really a big risk going out there for businesses, May God Protect Us |

TruthSpeaker:Let the so called Government also provide palliatives to ease the pains of the citizens who live on daily income like what is done in the countries you have mentioned above. You don't expect a man to sit at home and watch his children starve |

Our Governor, Sir. Please don’t give yourself too much headache on this. Just station two soldierS at each bus stop and 5 soldiers in each motor park, then, come and thank me later Sir. |

GDB7:That’s correct. I one wrote that “while lockdown is essential to effectively control/limit the spread of COVID-19; poverty is a contraindication for the implementation of chronic lockdown when the government cannot adequately provide palliative measure to alleviate the suffering of the common man”. I understand the travail of the common man who is rather like “why lockdown and die of hunger in a quest of avoiding the possibility of contracting a disease that might not even up killing me”. The middle and upper class that have a steady source of income and live a rather comfortable life are the people that understand COVID-19 danger and henceforth do not want to take chances. Social distancing is paramount in minimizing the propagation of the disease. I see this COVID-19 embarking on a ruthless population control in Nigeria. It is just a question of time, because the bombs have already been planted and people are helping them of gain more potential before the finally get detonated. Prayers isn’t enough to evade disaster this time around. |
