Is It Wise Enough To Relocate My Recording Studio To Lagos? by dozzybreezy(m): 2:39pm On May 07, 2020
Greetings to you all.
I am a music producer and I own a recording studio in Abia state which is over 3 years old. It is a popular one in Umuahia.
It happened that august last year, I was posted to Ogun state for my NYSC So, I locked my studio temporarily for it. I have always wanted to be in lagos for my career since it is the heart of entertainment in Nigeria and I want to be famous in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Soon, I will be done with NYSC but I am been disturbed every day on trying to figure out the best decision to make pertaining the relocation of my studio.

PLEASE I NEED A GOOD ADVICE.
Should I really relocate and startup my Music Studio in Lagos?
Which area of Lagos is best to situate? (Considering cost of rent and massive quality patronage) (I offer quality services too)

Are there other critical things I need to know?

I would keep the studio you already have where it is and grow another in Lagos so income from one would grow the other.

Lagos is a jungle. I would be careful about moving my assets there, but you might be braver than me. So goodluck whatever you decide to do. You will prosper.

Lagos market , na big market ooo

But it all depends on what u cook up , if no bongo , highlife and gospel better stay Abia. But if u can cook up good hip Hop, Afro, and u can market good, Lagos has a better opportunity , cos almost all the stars are here , the law talents are here too , but to break into Lagos market u must be good

I have thought about this and I also need to know if there are specific areas best for a recording studio.

Every business requires trust to function.. You could have employed someone to record and then send the file for you to mix and master.

Anyway. To survive in entertainment industry in Lagos you need cash and also assure good and quality job.

You Always Wanted Right? Now You re In OGun State So Why Not Give It A Try? LaG Is Where The Market Is. You DonT Need To Get A ShoP To Turn To A Studio. Get A House And Use A Room For Your Studio Work. Move Your Things To LaG ,If You Have Artists You Working With Already, Move Dem To LaG ,Find Place With StABLe Power SuppLy. But Before You Do All This Ask Yourself If You Are A BadAss Producer.. Competition TiGHT For LaG So You Have To Be Good. Have Got A Producer There In LaG Tho, HeMight Know Better

Ok check within yourself , how really good u are . Be truthful to yourself , if u are that good u can move to Lagos , if not stay in Abia and dominate Abia first , an average producer of hip hop in Lagos will be a big shot in Abia
