Sounds more like you're hoping that it's a DB [I also do that hence why I don't really wait for confirmation to buy or sell at certain levels].
But see how price inflected about 100pips up from the first touch of the DB and came back to retest and didn't have the momentum to push up again. It means that demand zone is weak and price would go lower to look for the men with bigger money at lower price levels.
I also use equidistant channels a lot as I explain in the group. It's a stress free way ride a wave in the direction of the trend. Look at the HTF, its predominantly selling right? So what I would be looking for is to sell at every touch of the UTL of the channel. See how the Red channel broke to the downside and now is forming another wave to ride downwards in the Black Equidistant channel?
Lazy man's way to trade, but I no like stress.
I'm also using this as a hedge for the Cable buy trade. One has to achieve targets.

This trade is up nicely with 360pips, would be very nice, if it could just get to my 1750 targets but NFP is on the way and it would be foolish not to secure some profits, so I'm moving my profit loss to secure about 200pips [that's how I gamble when in profits.

As long as holding abv 1707, we may see another attempt to test the trend line resistance 1728.
Only a break back below 1707 will be the first signs that a part of the short term top has been formed at 1722. Personally I'm not bearish although the final bearish count has a target of 1630 while below 1730 price.

Technically, a clear break of 1730 will open 1745-47 next then 1756 and 1768 thereafter....be careful and trade flexibly. Don't marry your trade and say we are in this till the end, na account grave yard be that oh.

Alright, different strokes for different folks but always remember that the trend is your friend. That is the rule that has kept me going for the past four months. I'm yet to record a negative week
