the travel ban wasn't the best option at that time. He told Americans to disregard the effects of the virus and they did. They moved about sharing it like it's some kind of cheese. It was when it became clear that this ain't a joke that he decided on the travel ban. He once said that he expected just about 60,000 cases and he kept pushing the numbers up. When journalists reminded him about his earlier numbers,he attacked them and claimed to be victimized.

Trump is a showman and extremely rich guy so he doesn't know how to handle critical times and this became glaring at this point
