Follow this thread as I regularly upload the progress of my country-home construction.

PROJECT - 5 BEDROOM DUPLEX (with void over lounge), one main/large lounge, 5 bedrooms all ensuite, one master bedroom with large terrace overlooking the East, Kitchen/Pantry, Laundry room, a swimming pool, and an enclosed garage fit for 2 cars. Look out for some modifications to the Roman Pillars, the front terrace, the garage and the painting colours/wall aesthetics.

Land Size - 2.5 plots (160ft x 100ft)

Estimated duration of construction - 5 to 6 months.

Budget - We'll make that a secret (hush!)

Location - Ibadan in Oyo State

Please share your sugestions, criticsms, views, information, and knowledge, etc. as the construction progresses.

This is nice. Is this is a front and back view? Asking cos i have something like this in mind to do and would love if the pool could be at the back.

Hello Kinglee007, welcome to the thread. This particular photo was taken from around the back of the land. I am aiming for the swimming pool to be at the back of the building towards the right side, so it is shielded by the garage.

That's a nice concept. If i may add, would also love if you could add a small relaxation spot close to the pool.

Is the swimming pool going b to be subcontracted to a specialist, or included in the overall scope?

If possible, when you get to that stage, pls give us an idea of the cost of the pool and what you advise the owner about ongoing costs.

Swimming pool will be contracted out when we get to that stage. I have been told to budget between 5 to 8 mil for swimming pool only, if that helps.
