It is a directive from FG/CBN For every single deposit frm10k and above, u will be charged #50.

Maybe charging u #500 is a cumulative summation of Feb/march. Get ur account statement for this 2 months( Feb/March) u will see u ve made single deposit of 10k up to 10times.

The federal government has clarified that deposits into savings accounts that is up to N10,000 are not exempted from the payment of N50 stamp duty under the Finance Act of 2020.

Regards.

This is not true. I have not made any deposit into my account for the past 2 months, neither have I received any credit into my UBA account but they charged me 1,500 naira just like that. I sent an email to their customer care email cfc@ubagroup.com, but no response till today since 2weeks ago. UBA are now simply thieves.
