Because the Lord Jesus paid it all on the cross. He was our last atonement for sin. We can now come to him for anything including forgiveness of sin without any burnt offering or priests. The Israelites do not believe Jesus Christ is their Messiah. They are still awaiting a Messiah so they still live by the law. 2 Likes |

Animal sacrifices were symbolic. They symbolized the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross which is why he's refered to as the Holy Lamb. Since he has come and done the sacrifice, there is no longer need for the symbolic animal sacrifices. 2 Likes |
