See Bayern about to get Sane for 40mil. Yes injury hampered his season but we know what he can do. Can't we get deals like we used to; the Rakitic deal, Arthur deal, deals like these. There should be younger or midfield players in their prime that would cost us less than 60m.

I ageee with you bro. I don't know that the board hopes to achieve selling Authur or initiating a swap deal. This guy has got the potentials to help Barcelona strong( once he's not injured). Rakitic has done his best for us, let him ply his trade elsewhere. I don't know what we need Pjanic for anyways.

My comment did not mean that he is close to Xavi,
it only meant that he is much closer to Xavi than every other player that has been called the next Xavi.

It is hard to separate Iniesta and Xavi.


One was flashy and graceful, the other was very efficient and direct.

If I already have a player in the mould of Busquets I'd go for Iniesta.
But if I already have a player like Neymar or Messi I'd go for Xavi.

You put Xavi in any midfield and you have the possesion part of the game sorted, no team is going to beat you on possesion doesnt matter what system you play in or against. Generally speaking Xavi has always been a tier above iniesta.

The only player to make 4 assists in a single el Classico game

I think Xavi was more tactically intelligent than Iniesta, Iniesta's dribbling and eye for a keen pass were legendary, but you need to watch videos of Xavi, not just his matches in a fleeting way, Xavi doesn't do things on the field you shout wow, but the way he controls the field, the pace of the game it allowed people like Iniesta and Messi thrive.
Look at Man city's 100 point side, the better dribbler and creator was De Bruyne but Silva controlled the midfield, those small small things that you may not see but are very important to when and how Xe Bruyne receives the ball for him to feed the forwards, that's where I think Xavi excels above Iniesta.
Another team you can look at is the treble winning Madrid side, the most creative player and better dribbler is Modric but Kroos was the controller of the match, those 95% passing accuracy isn't a joke, he may not dribble or wow us but he controls the match and that helps the team, more than the magical fellow...

So essentially, I'd take Xavi over Iniesta, man was awesome. I just pray he coaches us someday and his time is as successful as a coach as he was a player

I beg to differ a bit with other cules opinions.

Xavi is a brilliant player, no doubt. But saying he's a tier above Iniesta is kinda shocking and way too unfair. I'm not saying the guy is not good or trying to downplay his midfield prowess but man, Iniesta is just too underrated.

Ffks, Iniesta is a machine. Dude has the capacity to drop deep into defenses and cause troubles among defenders. Andre, with the ball at his feet, is a phenomenon right from the midfield to the opposition box.

Dude has the capacity to shoot long distances, dribble, score and throw passes ( He has the capacity to do the first three even better than Xavi). Xavi on his part can take control of a game better from the midfield. His output offensively is great but not as wonderful as Iniesta's.

IKON360, I agree with you as regarding Xavi's spectacular touches but man, Iniesta is not too be downplayed with the comparison of Silva and De Bruyne. They are different.

And yes, possession alone doesn't win a game for you. Creativity and ability to score goals does; which is why Andre got the MVP award in the Spanish WC triumph in 2010.

You are right tho, but I just can't see how I won't choose Iniesta tbh. Maybe I'm biased because I just love Iniesta more. I can get someone to do Xavi, even if it's not as good as Xavi would do, maybe a Pirlo, Gerrard but Iniesta? I can't think of anyone. Show me the light abeg.
