13 reasons why will release its fourth and final season on June 5 — Dear Weekly

It’s a great and sad moment for fans of 13 Reasons Why because it will release its fourth and final season on June 5, Netflix announced on Monday. Season 4 of the young adult story will consist of 10 episodes, all of them will run for 6inutes.

Wow! Netflix made this known to fans by sharing a behind the scenes video of the actors sitting around a round table with tears in their eyes.

2. There's a reason they changed Hannah's method of suicide. While Hannah swallows a handful of pills in the book, she splits her wrists in the bathtub on the show. According to creator Brian Yorkey, they made this alteration with a specific goal in mind: "We worked very hard not to be gratuitous, but we did want it to be painful to watch because we wanted to be very clear that there is nothing, in any way, worthwhile about suicide."

3. Hannah was supposed to survive in the book. Author Asher revealed that he considered that Hannah would survive by having her parents rush her to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. "Once I realized that, the message of the story would be stronger [if she died] and that it would definitely be more of a cautionary tale. I felt that was definitely the way to go."
