Allahumma Ameen,of course having atleast a glass of water will earn one the reward of sahur,if u don't have time to prepare a feast for sahur,there is no harm in keeping things simple.

No. If you intensionally not to eat your fasting is not valide. Because you re trying to hurt yourself and allah dont want us to hurt ourselve.

Thank you everyone... I appreciate. Most times eating around that time isn't easy at all. I prefer water o. One of my friend told me as long as you take something. And it's married people that will eat better foods sef unlike us wey never marry and no money sef.. May Allah accept the Ramadan from us as an act of ibadah. Jazakalah kairan all.

But if you are a type of person that don't like eating at that time of the day, you can take little water or Little fruits like date, pepper fruit etc as your suhur.

But not taking anything before the commencement of the day's fasting. I haven't seen an Hadith about it.

Before they come and shed more ligh, At least you have to wake and take even water! You must not missed it intentionally. Allah knows best.

'Amr b. al-'As reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The difference between our fasting and that of the people of the Book is eating shortly before dawn.



So, Atleast take water. I hope you observes night prayers as well!
