Two wrong can never make a right, learn to be that positive picture u want people to see in ur region, I know is difficult but learn to be a crusader of peace and love among each other, be an anti bigot on this forum, I know ur opinion will be unpopular but with time we will get there ok,sorry for how u feel. I have been on this forum for long, trust me tribal bigotry comes from every region of the country not only from a particular region or tribe.

Though I don't think it's Nigerians that caused the appointment to be cancelled.

The bad belle end on nairaland.
Don't let people deceive you. You see what you see here is a reflection of the society. Some of the people here have children and continue this nonsense. It doesn't end here, tbh.

I know some of them here who are terrorists on twitter.
I think the local people just want one of their own instead.
This might be true but in times past Nigerians have held sensitive positions in Sierra-Leone, Swaziland, The Gambia etc.

Breaking: Despite ‘cure therapy’, first Coronavirus death hits Madagascar
Madagascar on Sunday reported the first death of a patient suffering from novel coronavirus nearly two months after it was first detected in the country, official statistics showed.
The Indian ocean island which has reported 304 cases has hit the headlines over a home-grown herbal concoction that President Andry Rajoelina claims can cure people infected with the virus.
Several African countries have ordered or expressed interest in the purported remedy, which is known as COVID-Organics.
The tonic drink is derived from artemisia — a plant with proven efficacy in malaria treatment — and other indigenous herbs

Shame on Vanguard.

Imagine a well-established news medium peddling fake news.

Very appalling. This is the sort of thing that you naturally expect from a your typical Nigerian "blogger" but as it appears, we can no longer differentiate between a proper news medium and a run-of-the-mill blog.

S#it! Totally disgusted to say the least.

They should close shop already to atone for this embarrassment of the millennium.

Nigeria and fake news, tufiakwa, and the worst thing is a reputable print media like Vanguard, can't verify their source.
Vanguard has never been reputable. This however does not mean that the story is false. More information will come out in the coming days. But, please stop abusing words, Vanguard newspapers has never ever been reputable.

Remember they had a push back when they appointed a Nigerian to their electoral body and had to reverse it.

So this might be true. But once it went viral they had to disavow. Or perhaps it was fake news

But remember there are lots of Nigerians in Liberia and Sierra Leon, left over from the ECOMOG days who went to help with rebuilding and we deployed alot of foreign service personnel as professionals. We have a good number in Namibia, Gambia and Cote de Voire too.
