she wanted to protect her kids and why would she stay with a man wen he has not done or performed the customary marriage rites. You are not making any sense. It's not the matter of looking down on any child or children. You don't read the story till the end or it's hard for you to comprehend. The woman killed her husband out of jealousy, greediness and selfish interest. It was because the man had another son that's not from her. According to the story, she had male child or children too. The question is, will she murder her husband if he didn't have any other child apart from hers? Don't even be surprise if the children the woman gave birth to are not the man's children. In every angles, fear women.

N who says he wasn't catering for d rest? Diz issue is not about responsibility but will that may come in play only after his death. When she should be praying her children established themselves n get dier own property...D way some of you women think on diz forum eh especially a man n woman issue.Very biased. Illiteracy at its peak. Many people do not understand how the law works. Whether her children are all bastards or love births the man is still in "loco parentis" to provide for them even if he leaves a will in total favour of the other woman's son. The law is not stupid if he fails to take care of his love-children they may most likely become a problem to the society tomorrow (kidnappers, armed robbers, prostitutes, drug dealers, etc. The almajiri menace in the north quickly comes to mind. People really need to know some basic elements of the law especially when it pertains to matters like this.

No court of law in the world will honour a will that excludes any of the man's children so long as it can be established that they are his children. Note: There are exceptions but ceteris paribus, no court of law would dare.

Women need to be educated on matters like this especially before they take marriage vows. What are our churches and marriage registries teaching?

No matter how much we preach gender equality, theres nothing like having a Male child, bitter truth. Nevertheless, I say no to polygamy and if one can't have a male child, then accept your fate
