Nigerians often misunderstand the average Igbo.

- An average Igbo does not care about your political positions in Nigeria. PLEASE KEEP YOUR PRESIDENCY, BUT USE IT TO ENSURE DEVELOPMENT. Igbos have actually thrived in the most antagonistic environments e.g. Asia. If you can develop Nigeria with your presidency, you can have it forever, and an Igbo man will not give a damn.

- If you hate the Igbos so much that you deprive them of development, at least, develop your own place so that the Igbos can go and live there as Nigerians. Turn the South West into UK or North into Dubai and see if the Igbos won’t be proud of being called Nigerians. The problem is that Igbos are being denied political power and development, and the people in power are not even developing themselves to make Igbos proud of being called Nigerians. If Dubai and UK are closer to Igboland without visa hassles, the Igbos will turn Igboland into China naturally. Problem is that the people with the presidency are just sharing poverty And its mentality up and down, and they want the Igboman to keep quiet about it.

- If you love Nigeria so much and hate the concept of Biafra passionately, then it is important to stop alienating Igbos and calling them foreigners in any Nigerian City. Stop killing them at every provocation. The problem is that an Igbo man will move to Lagos and be continuously reminded that he does not belong to Lagos state, and he will be deported if he claims any land. If he persists, he will be threatened with pogrom. When he reacts with IPOB, the military is called in by Nigeria’s scared Federal Government to go and destroy villages, build roads blocks to collect money and rape innocent women.

- An Igbo man will not have any problem with you as long as you use your political power to practice freedom and fairness. Obasanjo was not Igbo, MKO was not Igbo, GEJ was also not Igbo and Atiku was not Igbo. The only reason why Igbos dread Buhari is because the General has demonstrated that he hates the Igbos beyond politics, and he has a penchant for supporting the Islamic hegemonic philosophy. He has not proven the Igbos wrong. He is not developing his own village, yet he is allowing Islamic fundamentalism to flourish to the point that Igbos are feeling unsafe in their homeland. Igbos believe in the “Live and Let’s Live” philosophy. As long as Igbos are safe and are treated as Nigerians Without being unnecessarily marginalised, we will be fine without the presidency.

Take your presidency and develop your village, the Igbos will join you there and be proud of being Nigerians. If you cannot develop your village with political power and prefer to keep the Igbo man ashamed of his/her country, you will hear of IPOB and BIAFRA rising.

The Igbos don’t even care about a united Nigeria anymore. Buhari should spend more money and turn the North into Dubai or Malaysia so that the Igbos can all move up there and chill as Nigerians. He can continue to hate the Igbos and force one Nigeria, it is allowed. While he is at it, he should develop his place and keep Nigeria as one so that the Igbos can be proud of something. The man hates the Igbos, but he is not even developing his own region. The Igbos are forced to face Asia, Europe and South Africa for a good life and business. The Igbos will surely prefer a developed place that is closer and more connected to Igboland.
