A devaluation of their Rand is in their own best interest.
It makes local manufacturing cheaper and makes their exports more competitive.

So they didn't devalue because they want their exports to be cheap. The rand collapse has everything to do with a sick economy. Minning down. Capital flight. Name it.

Tourism makes up 30% to 40% of your economy and 80% of the money earn comes from foreign tourist.
