Sexylassie2 stick to gender war, please don't spoil this beautiful thread for us...

You are a well known gender war Lord on Romance and family section.

DanielHouston Please don't take that girl serious, you're doing a great job here.

My observation so far.

DanielHouston I have been following this thread right from the beginning, I must commend your efforts you always back up everything with facts, this thread is arguably the most detailed on NL travel section but I just think you should be lenient with your replies to fallacious comments.

I have gone pages on this thread without replying to ignorant comments including the ones who tried to derail the thread. People who take time to study and research things, would know how annoying it is when you’re sharing information and someone pops up out of nowhere with a bunch of lies to discredit everything you said.

I am here on my own will. Nobody introduced me to Nairaland and nobody forced me here. With all of the information I have shared, I have remained anonymous and humble. I did not come here for the applause or likes.
I have refused to talk about myself or what I have achieved, because I don’t want the attention. It has always been about sharing information that can help people.

I don’t understand why people would tell lies to discourage people and block them from opportunities that can help them succeed. The sky is wide enough for every bird to fly.

Okay, I have read some replies here and I would like to share my own opinion, which is also bias.
Why don't we have large amount of Black doctors, bus drivers, train drivers, etc?
This answer to this question is simple. Germany lost its colonies after WW1, this influenced the numbers of Africans who came to the country post WW2.
Look at it this way, most European countries used their colonial power to build their country, it was easy for Nigerians/Ghanaians, etc, to migrate to the UK, the effect of this early migration is seen today in the country, where you have blacks as CEOs, chief medical doctors, politicians, etc.
So, colonial rule played an important role to all colonial power house.
Germany on the other, lost her colonial power after WW2 imported Turkish people to rebuild the country, and the effect is seen today. You have Turkish people virtually everywhere in the economy.

Secondly, numbers also matter a lot, as of 2013, there were approximately 817,000 Afro-Germans in a country with a population of 82,000,000 people. This number is difficult to estimate because the German census does not use race as a category, following the genocide committed during World War II under the "German racial ideology".Up to 70,000 (2% of the population), people of Afro-German origin live in Berlin. source: Wikipedia
With these numbers, how would you meet black train/bus drivers, doctors/nurses? But if you look further, we have quite a few numbers of African doctors, this is a video of an African doctor in Germany, not just a doctor but a neurosurgeon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ReBILTSBZ4.

So people should not play the racism card when you do not see Africans in very sensitive positions. I won't say racism does not exist, it does, I happen to live in the most conservative part of the country, and trust me I see racism from a mile off.

Concerning the refugee ish. I personally think Germany as a country does not help you if you try, or try to try. I don't know if that makes any sense.
As a student, you are trying to get the required knowledge so that you can work and better your life. There is no palliative for you, it is either to stick to the rules or get the f***k out. But if you stop trying, and just cry and lie, the rule is different, you get palliative, you have access to things that students do not have and so on. But who am I to complain, it's not my country.
But, I find it shameful for a Nigerian to apply as a refugee, If you are not gay and outed, you have no business applying for such. To me, the non-gay Nigerians abuse the system and do more harm than good. I usually do not pity them, no matter the story, they are all economic migrants like me.
This is just me ranting, and of course, my opinion is bias.

I don't think it is racism, the same way, you won't see a white govt worker in Nigeria, is the same way you won't see blacks as doctors and bank workers in Germany.

This is more than racism but economical power, we blacks should stop the victim mentality, first if all, it is not our country, don't expect equal opportunities, the German govt will first think about the German white citizens before a foreigner, the foreigners are not the one voting in elections but the Germans, if all jobs are given to foreigners do you think the Germans will happy.

In every society, the govt must think about its native first before a foreigner, a native must have economical, political and social power before a foreigner or else it will be disaster, it happens every where.

It is up to foreigners whether blacks, yellow or of any race to find its own path to success in a foreign country.

You are probably not in Germany, please desist from having opinions about racism in Germany especially on this thread, thank you!.

Germany has a reason for granting people Asylum. They also have a criteria to determine who gets it. That is why they offer interviews and give people a chance to tell their stories. Anybody who believes they are in need of protection, has the right to apply for Asylum.
The information I provided is for anyone who may be considering applying for Asylum.

Refugee shaming is not a good thing. We don’t know people’s stories and what they’ve been through. Let’s leave it to the German authorities to decide who they want to grant Asylum.

I understand your view but don't you think structural racism contributes to this in a way?.

When you go to old people's home, it's mostly foreigners working there. Also, some foreign kids are told they are not smart enough to write the Abitur and most of them end up doing Ausbildu.ng. I've also watched a documentary on this topic on YouTube(might share the link) and yes I agree we aren't that much but structural racism can't be ruled out, it plays a role in how easy you can get to the top or work in certain positions.

From my post, I did not shame refugees, but fake Nigerian refugees. We all know Nigeria is safe, it is only unsafe if you are gay/lesbian, that is a fact. But 95% of Nigerian applicants are not homosexuals, ( I have met many, I also play active football in an African amateur league here so I know the story) they are economic migrants like me. So, this is where I hate the system, if I come in as a student, pay my dues( work and study) even pay taxes too, follow the rules to the latter just to get pr, and someone else, also an economic migrant like me, decides to use the loophole in the system, to cut corners and get pr, is that fair?

Yes, the German authorities have the sole right to decide who they want to grant Asylum. When I said I find it shameful, for Nigerians applying for such, my aforementioned point was the bases.

We have structural racism in virtually all western countries. I can not think of any without such. What we have to know is, all blacks are from Africa, no matter the color of your passport. It is either your father. grandfather or great......grandfather was African. What is my point here, for Germany to be at par with say countries like France, UK, Belgium, Netherland, it's going to take at least one or two-generation. You need numbers, you need education, you need to fight the system, the only way to do it is by going the legal route.

Look at the Turkish community as an example, they still get discriminated against up to this day, but it doesn't deter them. You see them virtually everywhere, rich, poor, bad, drug what have you.
Well if I were Turkish, I sure will feel bad to be discriminated against, since the country was literally rebuilt by Turkish.

As for the German educational setup, I personally do not like it, because destinies are created too early, which most times can be dangerous. Migrant children are sent to Hauptschule, Realschule and not to gymnasium plays an important role in the society, Germans know this and are using this. It is now left for us, the coming generation to fight this. In most cases I have seen, if one of the childs parent has a degree, the child is allowed to attend a gymnasium. The parent can enforce it, I have seen this here in my city.

I see your point bro and I absolutely agree with you about the fake refugees trying to play the system. In my previous comment I also said I hate when straight people lie about being gay just to get Asylum.

Yes Nigeria is a safe country but Germany is not only granting Asylum to gay Nigerians. There are personal stories too. We are not sitting in the interview room to know what stories the Asylum seekers are telling.

Germany knows that Nigeria is safe and not everyone they grant Asylum to is gay. Which means there are other factors the German authorities consider when granting Asylum. Let’s leave it to them to decide that.

The racist Germans who are anti-immigrantion also believe that they’re working hard, paying their taxes, and it’s their country. Why should Germany be offering free education to foreigners with tax payers money? Why should a foreigner have a job when a German is jobless? Why should unemployed foreigners receive government assistance when Germans are working? Why should their government take care of refugees, when there are poor Germans? Is it fair?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4eQfxMZF_Q

The intro in the video said it all, children from poor families, family who literally do not speak German, and little or no education. With such a combination, it is very difficult for such children to get into a Gymnasium, it is just the way the system is, it affects both white and black. That is why I said, if one of the parents is educated, you can request and enforce that your child must attend a Gymnasium. This is not a criterium for success, you as a parent will also have to invest your time with your child, this is rather something that most African parents, who do not have a professional job, do not do.

At bolded, unfortunately, this is what we have to fight against, as long as we are not in Africa. The issue of race is really a global pandemic, albeit a very silent one. Some countries have it good, some bad. We just happen to find ourselves on the other side of the coin.
I don't blame them most times, I just wish my country was not bastardized by our leaders. But hey, life goes on!

Which one is Legitimate? To stick to the law of a country and never do otherwise or to do things according to common sense or other people's opinion? I've met some Africans during my several visits to Germany, they confirmed that no nationality can cheat or bend the immigrant laws in Germany unlike how Africans especially we Nigerians get away with it in the US before Trump's era. Immigrant information and advice should be based on the law and not opinions.

Smh at Nigerians shaming refugees. Talking about “I would never wish that on my worst enemy”.

There are Nigerians living without electricity, some have no running water, they fetch water from a well or from their neighbor’s house, graduates are frustrated without jobs, those with jobs are paid peanuts, people are hustling under hot sun for hours, police is harassing and killing young boys, armed robbers are robbing people with guns, some people went to LUTH with stomach pain and died there because of bad healthcare.
Yet you won’t wish being a refugee in Germany on your worst enemy?

Refugees in Germany live in a developed country, they can get education, travel the world, visit schengen countries without visa, get a good job, good healthcare, social amenities, even if they lose their job they can get unemployment benefits.

In my 7 years of living in Germany, I’ve never washed my clothes with my hands, I’ve never carried a bucket of water, I’ve never used kerosene to cook. That’s how easy life abroad can be. The little things we take for granted.

Students can proudly say they came on a student visa and study at a University. Compared to a refugee who would say he came with a boat and stayed in a camp. Meanwhile, an educated refugee can further his education or take up training and even get a better job than some students. Some refugees were doctors in their home country.

In the company I work, there are refugees working as data analyst, product analyst, customer care, marketers, sales rep. I came as a student and they’re my colleagues.

That is why in movies, a disclaimer is made about the names, places or event being fictitious and apology rendered in advance, if there should be any semblance to real life person or event.

Of course, this is not obtainable for a true life story movie.

sorry sir, what do you know about skinhead?

London used to be the head-quarters of skinheads, The fear of skin head was the beginning of wisdom, even the name sent shivers to your spine, they come in groups to attack you, the skinhead fashion was big blackboot, leather coat and straight jeans, and a clean shave hair cut, that used to be the sign of a skinhead, just because the fashion is now outdated does not mean a man in suit can not be a skinhead.

The reality is that you can not tell me if i have experienced racism before, i have and i dont take it personally, i just do my thing and move on, if i have to fight all the white people that have called me different slur names, do you think i will be alive to see another day.

Nowadays you dont have to wear skinhead fashion to be a racist.

Btw i know what racism does to the mind of black people, making them very aggressive frustrated and depressed, all these i have experienced, never again.

Guys I think I’ll drop the hat here. The information I’ve shared will remain here and you can see them any time you want. I hope I have been helpful in some way.

I know how vile the internet can be and I try to stay away from negative energy and protect my peace at all cost. I refuse to let the internet be the reason I’m having a bad day in real life. I’d rather focus my energy on something else.

I hope other people can continue from where I stopped and this knowledge we have all gained, will not be in vain. Thank you for participating, thank you for reading, thank you for showing love. Never stop learning, never stop believing and always know that you are enough. If everyone else fails, you can succeed.

To the bullies and attackers, you have not won. The knowledge here is beyond your control. You cannot suppress it and you cannot discredit it. Those who find it relevant will learn from it and dreams will be achieved. Whether you like it or not.

Thank you all,

I rather die here in Nigeria than carry my money to go live in any western world, trying to struggle space with white people who at the end wont recognize my achievements

Spending holidays and living in a country are not the same.
I find the bolded a paradox, you would rather die in Nigeria, but like to travel abroad for holidays.....hmm, why not better spend your holidays in Nigeria grin grin
