On the 19th of May 2020, 226 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria
No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
Till date, 6401 cases have been confirmed, 1734 cases have been discharged and 192 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The 226 new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (131), Ogun (25), Plateau (15), Edo (11), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), FCT (5), Adamawa (5), Jigawa (4), Ebonyi (4), Borno (4), Nasarawa (3), Bauchi (2), Gombe (2), Enugu (1), Bayelsa (1)

I pray this thing comes to an end soon and make NCDC and their daily midnight stats to be a thing of the past because this thing is becoming like a regular rhythmic pattern on a daily basis

In the early 90's, I have a church where I do play the keyboard, there was this lady in the choir, each time she is coming forward to sing, I already knew the song she will always sing and the drummers also knew the beat that suit her regular song. Therefore, each time she is coming forward to sing, we won't wait for her to get to the mic before we start playing her regular and the congregation will have no choice than to endure the boring song from her wack voice

I personally know 3 people currently in isolation and one that was released last week.

It could still be a scam since no one gets a copy of his/her test result.

They call you to arrange your “pick-up” when you test positive. grin

Interesting.

Testing in some states are deliberately kept low.

In some states, officials choose or decide not to test when potential covid 19 patients call them with symptoms.

A good number of covid 19 patients are asymptomatic.

There should be mass testing of citizens; not this deliberate policy of testing less than 50 per day per State, except Lagos

These officials are not sincere to handle the effects of this pandemic. There would be consequences.

You locked people up without any form of palliative and yet every blessed day you keep on rolling out numbers despite the lockdown. I thought they said the virus can only spread by touching infected surface, shaking hands and staying in close distance with someone that has the virus?

Why can't we go back to our normal lives since we've known the way the virus spreads and how to avoid it?

The only thought that comes into Nigeria govt's head is how to feed school children during the lockdown while their parents are indoors and hungry.

Is it a crime to be a Nigerian for crying out loud?
I know the federal govt and all her evil sidekicks(politicians) have used our money to stuff their kitchen for a whole year so why should they care about lockdown..

My opinion: if you conduct a real covid 19 test on those 6,401 patients, only 6 would come out "real covid 19 positive"...
