I think Africa is a cursed continent( maybe Because they sold their best brain into slavery). They are Cursed with leadership. If you don't agree with me, tell me why corruption is greater than law and order.
From the police to government officials, members of the legislature, the judiciary, traditional and religious leaders, healthcare,and even NGOs. Everyone is looking to carry out a corrupt practice because of his or her selfish gain.
Imagine A country like Nigeria in Africa, a former head of state stole so much money, and stashed it in different countries before his death in 1998, and 27 years later, the loot is still being recovered. The recovered loot since he died is a total of $2.6Billion.
You may not understand the gravity of the corruption until you think of what would happen if US$2.6 billion is been use for capital projects, how will it affect your country's economy? Feeding imaginary school children who is at home. Cashing out big and looting money meant for covid 19 pandemic.Failing in all index of life. Governor's behaving like a thing god, because the so-called president is incommunicado and the citizens has no directions.
Since corruption is the everyday affair of these countries, contestants for public offices use “fight against corruption” as the subject of their propaganda. Guess what happens when they win? The corruption cycle continues!
To the best brains,the religious leaders,sane mind and patriot what is a way forward? My fear is bringing a child into a dysfunctional society like Nigeria. I have no place to truly call home. How can we come together to remedy the situation? Divergent opinion are welcome please no insults of any kind thanks.

. Start taking responsibility your forefathers sold you into slavery, your politicians are mortgaging your future 4 Chinese peanuts. The westerners brought education,hospitals and basic amenities to your country today your politicians are looting your money, sending them to foreign countries away from your reach.

going down the history Lane the white did not force the blacks into slavery your forefathers sold their sons and daughters out, you know the most painful part they are actually sold the most intelligent ones, the strongest and the smartest. How do I know this I have a strong generational history with slavery. My forefathers were merchandise both in Palm oil dealings, capturing and selling of slaves. A sad history I am not proud of so when you want to apportion blame send it to the right channel. The westerners were businessmen they came to Africa for cheap labourers for their sugarcane plantation but instead your forefathers decide to take advantage of their Young ones, this is a sad reality.

Africans are not cursed. They are places that are developed and have good leaders. Countries like
egypt
ivory coast
euthopia
algeria
senegal are developed
next time do proper research before spewing false information

. Egypt are Arabs in nature same with Algeria and Morocco. Ethiopia, Senegal and Ivory coast are like a local government in Nigeria I actually been to those countries. Don't forget those country lives on Chinese loans.

But that does not mean that africa is cursed like you said we are only victims of circumstances here.

If its good leaders africa once had good leaders like nelson mandela, kwame nkrumah, koffi annan and the rest. Africa also has bad leaders like idi amin. But its not only africa that has bad leaders its all over the world.
germany had adolf hitler, russia had joseph stalin, north korea has kim jong-un and so many more others

. Those countries you mentioned, check their development index, quality of life and attitude to public offices. Agreed we had great leaders but we never had visionaries as leaders.
