Been touted as one of the most intelligent people outside the shores of Africa, its pathetic to state the obvious fact that Nigeria as a nation lacks common sense, I mean basic wisdom.. The latest news points the economy to another recession despite brief recovery from the last one. The question is why then is the nation bent on waste of resources ![]() ![]() Is it not time for us to look within and humbly cut our coats according to our size ?Why do fools rule a nation Is it their fault or the faults of the people who enthrone them![]() Let it be clearly known, Nigeria is a very poor country, it becomes amazing how such a poor man is both proud and arrogant. First the style or system of governance does not help, how can we be colonized by Britain but using American system which is very expensive, yet we don't want a strong institutions as America but strong men, are we not confused Countries like Canada, Australia and even Ghana to some extent adopts a less expensive system of governance and propers..Why do we have a president instead of a prime minister, why many in the senate and HOR instead of few, why governors instead of mayors, why a long list of ministers instead of drawing people from members of Parliament to hold those portfolio.. While the world elect their best brains and even genius to manage their nation, we elect and exhort fools and somehow expect them to become magicians. In the most powerful nations, nobody bow to their leaders but holds them even more accountable for slightest things, here in Nigeria we lick their ass and hail them as excellencies, honorables after they have abuse power, stole and filled themselves with arrogant.. Nigeria as a nation lacks sense and as a result we are cursed as a nation.. Many focused on the evils that emits from the effects of a wrong foundation, fulnai herdsmen killing thousands, unemployment, ritual killings, unavoided deaths from decayed institutions, bribery, corruption, fraudsters, prostitution and so on, only a few understand that these evil are simply effects from a wrong governance.. We are beggers, living and making budgets on borrowed money yet proudly showing off our latest private jets to the world, lol.. This nation never cease to amaze, the elites and wanna be goes around with convoys, using policemen who should police the people as private escorts yet wants to borrow more from banks... Nigeria is in a free fall into a deep hole, whether PDP or APC will not save you.. While many nations are trying to take opportunity of the pandemic to present themselves as an alternative to China as a global manufacturing center, what are we doing Can't we manufacture standard gloves, masks and simple things the western world can use at a cheap rate??The world have moved on, our youths have lost hope and lost their mind as well, their mentors are same those who destroyed the nation, most dream of getting close to the national treasury as thatbis the sure means of success and respect.. What does the future holds for a nation of 200 million people? The answer is one word Bleak as motherland lacks sense.. |
