*Theme:Change your garment*

*Read* : *Gen 35 vs 1-2*
35:1 _And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother_.
_35:2 _Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments_:

*Memorise : *Genesis 41 vs 14*.
*Then pharaoh sent and called Joseph,and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself,and changed his raiment,and came unto pharaoh*.


Thought for the day: A change of garment is called to a higher ground*.

We have learnt in previous lessons, that a garment is a piece of cloth, we put on to cover our unclothedness or shame.
It important to note that , everyone is putting on one form of garment or the other. This garment could be filthy(zech 3 vs 3), defiled,(Rev 3 vs 4), fashionable, beautiful(Exodus 28 vs 2), clean(Rev19 vs ,torn( 1 Sam 15 vs 27,2 kings2vs 12),white (Luke 9 vs 29).
A _garment could also indicate association or union with somebody for example couples that are dressed in the same garment( Rev 3 vs 4) and we are the bride of christ(Ephesians 5 vs 22-32).
But whenever a change of _garment_ occurs it does indicate a call to a higher level of glory as we saw in the passage below which is our memory verse.
Gen 41 vs 14: Then pharaoh sent and called Joseph,and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself,and changed his raiment,and came unto pharaoh*.

Also it could indicate a change of status or position,like we saw in the case of Elisha, after Elijah had been taken away by the chariots of fire(2 Kings 2 vs12).
Our _garment_ could be changed in the place of prayer, according to the passage below.
Luke 9 vs 29: And as he prayed,the fashion of his countenance was altered,and his raiment was white and glistering.
Whaoo!!!what a glorious change, ..and as he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning (Luke 9 vs 29 NIV).
_Prayer is an intense way , of encountering glorious transformation, that is capable of changing the spiritual garments on our body_. Beloved get ready for a change of garment and i see God taking to a new dimension in the school of power in Jesus name. Amen
However,if you haven't given your life to Christ,you are naked,and in need of a _garment of righteousness_ (Gen 3 vs 10).Come to Jesus today and let him change your _garment_ for good.
