Qualcomm’s Upcoming Snapdragon 6 Series 5G Chip Details Leak by beejayvince(op): 10:20pm On May 22, 2020

Qualcomm is expected to release a new chipset in the Snapdragon 6-series for entry-level devices. We now have some details about the upcoming chip, thanks to Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station.

The upcoming chip has model number sm6350. It will use an octa-core CPU comprising two cores clocked at 2.25GHz and six cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It will use the Adreno 615 GPU.

The sm6350 chip, which supports 5G, is expected to be launched sometime in the second quarter of 2020. It will be Qualcomm’s first 5G chip in the Snapdragon 6-series.

Meanwhile, MediaTek, Samsung, and Huawei are also expected to release their own budget 5G chipsets soon. We are expecting MediaTek’s MT6853, Samsung’s Exynos 880, and Huawei’s Kirin 720 5G chips.

an Entry level chipset having clock speeds of up to 2.25 GHz?
Adreno ~~618~~ 615 GPU?

the sd 6xx series have never been for entry level phones. heck, do they even still make entry level chips cos even the latest 4xx series is somewhat a performer
