Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Kingsley Fanwo has said the good people of Kogi State donated money to support the Governor’s legal battles at the tribunal as a way of “confirming their total and uncompromising support for his mandate”. Fanwo stated this in Mopa during his visit to the Local Government to celebrate with the Moslem community on the occasion the Eid Fitr, saying the Governor received donations from the people who were determined to protect the mandate freely given to the him on November 16, 2020. “I was on a visit to Ochaja to see our Broadcast Station. A woman in her 60s gave me 1000 naira to give to the Governor as her contribution to the legal services to defend the mandate of the people. I got emotional by the show of love by the people.” “Ochaja is in Dekina Local Government Area, the Local Government of origin of Engr Musa Wada who was the Governorship candidate of the PDP.” Kogi has really been sociologically re-engineered to defeat ethnic bigotry. “We thank you the great people of Kogi State for your show of love to the Governor who has already dedicated his series of victories at the tribunal to his people. He will continue to work with you and for you”. He urged those who have lost at the tribunal to accept the “sound and faultless judgements”, saying the next task is “to unite for the advancement of the state”. https://www.independent.ng/kogi-people-donated-money-for-yahaya-bellos-legal-services-at-tribunal-fanwo/

Which type of junk journalism is this? Headline Kogi people donated for my legal services - Yahaya Bello. But in the story, it was Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Kingsley Fanwo that was quoted directly. No where in the report was Yahaya Bello quoted. ![]() |

bolaayenimo: DanseMacabre:The headline says "Kogi people paid for my legal services - Yahaya Bello". It means Yahaya Bello made this comment himself. But it is one of his commissioners that was quoted. Now, if you have issues with simple comprehension, it will be more appropriate you enrol in English classes. Better than coming to a public forum exposing yourself. ![]() |
